Titans HC Mike Vrabel should absolutely win the 2021-22 NFL Coach of the Year Award!

Of all the Head Coaches in the NFL, I believe that Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel has done the best job.

The Titans are never the pretty pre-season pick for all the analysts to ogle at for weeks and months on end, so from that perspective I know this team surprised a lot of people and proved a lot of people wrong. I mean how many people expected the Titans to be a #1 seed before the season started?

Throughout the season Mike Vrabel clearly did a great job at leading men and having them prepared to play smart and aggressive. That's not a vague or cliché statement either. The Titans were absolutely devastated by injury and Covid nonsense this season. The 2021-22 Tennessee Titans literally set an NFL record by having 91 different players suit up in two-tone blue and play at least one snap.

Among those injuries, the Titans lost Superstar running back Derrick Henry midway through the season and as soon as that happened everyone immediately thought the Titans season was DONE. It was challenging for them, especially initially, to adjust to the loss of Henry and as a result they did lose a few winnable games. I was nervous for a time, not going to lie.

But Mike Vrabel kept this team focused and on to the next game. The Titans kept hacking away and found a way to run the ball without Derrick. The defense stayed strong. They eventually re-established their identity and got in a rhythm, performing much like they were earlier in the season when they had King Henry.

The Titans also had to deal with star wideouts A.J. Brown and Julio Jones in and out of the lineup. The Titans three most lethal offensive weapons, Henry, Jones, and Brown, really barely played together on the same field this regular season. They are all set to go this week though!

A lot of fans of teams whine and complain about 'oh, the only reason we sucked was because of injuries' well, the Titans literally set records in terms of missing players, but the Titans still went 12-5. They are still AFC South Division Champs. Despite those losses, the Titans still are the #1 Seed.

Much of the credit and appreciation must go to this guy right here. Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel.

Despite those injuries and challenges, Vrabel still led the Titans to wins over:

Since the Titans are one of the eight teams left, the Titans have wins over three of the seven teams remaining in the playoffs.

Mike Vrabel has been a coach that players want to play for. He has led this team into a great situation this Saturday afternoon by having them in a Home Divisional Playoff Game.

As a fan of the Titans I can tell you, as soon as he arrived in Tennessee a few years ago, he switched the whole vibe in Tennessee. The Titans were always a physical team. But in some of these Titans wins in recent years, the Titans look like organized savages or animals. The Titans seem like a frightening team to play at times, and that's BEAUTIFUL.

Vrabel has the team overall very much pointed in the right direction.

Right now, currently as I write this Vrabel has helped this entire fanbase get excited. I can't tell the future, but it feels like this Titans team has a serious chance to do something special.

The 2019 Titans, was an adrenaline rush type of season.

The 2020 Titans had to be humbled and improve some holes.

The 2021 Titans seem ready! A home Divisional Playoff Game. Derrick Henry coming back. Actual full stadium.

I can't even look at too much Titans social media/videos, I am WAY to excited.

Mike Vrabel leveled up this year as I coach, and I think he deserves this Coach of the Year award, more than any other coach.
