Unconscious [Eng-Esp]

Hive consciousness. That phrase had been echoing in my mind since the day the biological sciences professor gave that class. I often thought of it, how entities shed their individuality to satisfy a higher consciousness. I often imagined whether we ourselves were part of a psychological swarm beyond our individuality.

The first signs of this type of behavior were intuited in the school where I attended my first studies, I was often reprimanded by the teachers because I was very "disobedient" I remember that during the breaks it didn't matter what we were playing or doing, but when that demonic bell rang everyone would stop, catch their breath, stop laughing and go back to their classrooms in an orderly fashion. Everyone but me the "unconscious" one.

Instead of heading to my classroom as I was supposed to, I would go through the back corridors to a wing of the school under construction, I would sneak into that lonely part where anything would distract me: a singular stone, a small animal or anything that seemed new to me. That's how I spent my time, the teacher said, until one of my classmates was sent to look for me.

As time went by, I continued to find signs of that behavior stripped of individuality, in the queue for the bus to the university the boys hardly reacted to the noises of the morning in the city, when the bus arrived they got on in a mechanical way and in absolute order. That kind of automatism made me sick, so I usually waited seated on the road and when the bus arrived I simply went ahead of them all until I was among the first ones to get on the bus with hardly any protests.
I was really fed up with all that meekness.

So now that I am here alone in the city, surviving how it is possible, I realize that all that behavior was induced to others by a higher consciousness. For that reason when they arrived with their huge ships, no one besides me was surprised, they simply landed and opened their hatches for everyone to board with that automatism that made me sick. They were simply harvested without a minimum of resistance.

Realmente me hastiaba toda esa mansedumbre.

HIVE-minded means that people surrender their individuality and replace their individual brain with the group think process that dominates the HIVE.

I admit I find the HIVE-minded process repulsive. I believe that people should use their individual brains and like the Proof of Brain concept a little more compelling than the HIVE minded process.
