Saludos amigos de #hive y #alienart, y espero estén teniendo una feliz navidad, y que hayan disfrutado el 24 y 25 de diciembre. El día de hoy comparto con ustedes este fan art de un personaje de DC cómics que tal vez muchos conozcan, siendo una de los villanos de Ciudad Gótica.

Greetings friends of #hive and #alienart, and I hope you are having a Merry Christmas, and that you enjoyed the 24th and 25th of December. Today I share with you this fan art of a DC comics character that many of you may know, being one of the villains of Gotham City.

Esta reconocida figura femenina es la famosa Harley Quinn, conocida también como la novia del Guasón, siendo este el némesis de Batman, por eso muchas veces se les ve juntos causando el caos en ciudad gótica. Me encanta este personaje por sus chistes de humor negro, los cuales a veces suelen ser muy crudos.

This recognized female figure is the famous Harley Quinn, also known as the Joker's girlfriend, being this the nemesis of Batman, that's why they are often seen together causing chaos in Gotham. I love this character for her black humor jokes, which sometimes tend to be very crude.

Otra cosa que me encanta de ella es su forma de combatir y a veces de cantar mientras lo hace, su agilidad en combate hace que sea difícil de atrapar o de herirla. Se ha visto que sus armas principales son su bate de béisbol, un mazo y hasta pistolas. Sus trajes siempre poseen el rojo y negro como colores característicos, como las cartas de poker, siendo su traje similar al de un bufón.

Another thing I love about her is the way she fights and sometimes sings while doing so, her agility in combat makes her hard to catch or hurt. Her main weapons have been seen to be her baseball bat, a sledgehammer and even pistols. Her costumes always feature red and black as characteristic colors, like poker cards, with her costume being similar to that of a jester.

Este personaje ya se le dió vida en la pantalla grande en películas como "Escuadrón suicida" y hasta en su propia película "Aves de presa", siendo interpretada por la hermosa actriz Margot Robbie, la cual cada vez realiza mejor al personaje. Para este diseño me base más en el traje con chaqueta y sin mascara, donde se le puede ver su cabello rubio con las puntas de color rojo y azul.

This character has already been brought to life on the big screen in movies like "Suicide Squad" and even in her own movie "Birds of Prey", being played by the beautiful actress Margot Robbie, who is getting better and better at playing the character. For this design I based more on the suit with jacket and without mask, where you can see her blonde hair with red and blue tips.

También le realicé su típico bordado de estrellas y rombos, tanto en la chaqueta, como en las medias y el short. Le hice un cinturón llamativo con una hebilla dorada de estrella, la cual hace juego con su collar, para así darle más colores al diseño. Realice el mazo y la pistola porque fueron las armas utilizadas en "Liga de la justicia - Apocalipsis", la cual había visto recientemente. En el fondo decidí colocar su típica máscara, la cual la caracteriza mucho, y junto a ella una frase personal.

I also made her typical embroidery of stars and diamonds, both in the jacket, stockings and shorts. I made a flashy belt with a golden star buckle, which matches her necklace, to give more colors to the design. I made the mace and the gun because they were the weapons used in "Justice League - Apocalypse", which I had recently seen. In the background I decided to place her typical mask, which characterizes her a lot, and next to it a personal phrase.

Harley Quinn no siempre fue la enloquecida villana que todos conocemos, la pareja del igualmente demente Joker. Una vez fue la doctora Harleen Frances Quinzel, una psiquiatra del asilo Arkham, lugar en el que se dieron sus orígenes como villana.

Harley Quinn wasn't always the crazed villain we all know, the partner of the equally demented Joker. She was once Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, the place where her origins as a villain took place.

Harleen fue una estudiante que, como gimnasta, se ganó una beca y consiguió matricularse en la Universidad de Gotham, donde destacó en su educación en psicología, especializándose en psiquiatría. Para terminar sus estudios escribió una tesis en la que creía que el caos era inevitable y el titiritero de tragedias, y durante su escritura, creyó comenzar a entender al Joker.

Harleen was a student who, as a gymnast, earned a scholarship and managed to enroll at Gotham University, where she excelled in her education in psychology, specializing in psychiatry. To finish his studies he wrote a thesis in which he believed that chaos was inevitable and the puppeteer of tragedies, and during his writing, he believed he began to understand the Joker.

Comenzando su residencia en Arkham, se le pidió de inmediato tratar al Joker debido a su interés e investigación respecto a asesinos seriales. Con su acceso completo al payaso criminal, el desenlace era inevitable.

Beginning his residency at Arkham, he was immediately asked to treat the Joker due to his interest and research regarding serial killers. With his full access to the criminal clown, the outcome was inevitable.

Al presentarse ante el Joker, hizo hincapié en que la podía llamar Harley Quinn, haciendo referencia al bufón medieval Arlequín (Harlequin en inglés). Ella era diferente a todos sus anteriores doctores, notó el Joker, notando una mirada de amor e interés en ella en lugar de las impactadas y temerosas que solía recibir. Usando eso a su favor, tuvieron un romance, y Quinn asistió al Joker en múltiples escapadas antes de ser descubierta y su licencia médica revocada.

When introducing herself to the Joker, she emphasized that he could call her Harley Quinn, a reference to the medieval jester Harlequin. She was different from all his previous doctors, the Joker noted, noticing a look of love and interest in her instead of the shocked and fearful ones he usually received. Using that to their advantage, they had an affair, and Quinn assisted the Joker in multiple escapades before she was discovered and her medical license revoked.

Perdiendo su carrera y hundida en la locura que trae estar con un villano de la talla del Joker, Harley Quinn abraza la vida criminal y la locura que rompió todas las cadenas impuestas por la sociedad.

Losing her career and plunged into the madness that comes with being with a villain of the Joker's stature, Harley Quinn embraces the criminal life and the madness that broke all the chains imposed by society.

- Realicé la pose y diseño del personaje a lápiz, para luego pasar la foto y digitalizarla.

I made the pose and design of the character in pencil, and then pass the photo and digitize it.

- Delinee todo en dibujo hecho a mano en la aplicación de dibujo, una vez terminado el delineado elimine la imagen hecha a mano.

I outlined all the hand drawn drawing in the drawing application, once the outlining was finished I removed the hand drawn image.

- Apliqué la base de color, con sus colores respectivos en cada zona.

I applied the base color, with their respective colors in each area.

- Detallé la vestimenta, los guantes y los patines, haciendo primero las zonas rojas y luego las azules.

I detailed the clothing, the gloves and the skates, making first the red areas and then the blue ones.

- Procedí a detallar el cuerpo, en las zonas del abdomen, pecho, piernas y brazos.

I proceeded to detail the body, in the areas of the abdomen, chest, legs and arms.

- Luego detallé las armas, empezando con el mazo y terminando con la pistola.

I then detailed the weapons, starting with the sledgehammer and ending with the pistol.

- Detallé el rostro y el cabello, culminando así con el proceso del personaje.

I detailed the face and hair, culminating the process of the character.

- Realicé un fondo estilo hoja de comic, con varios elementos como la ciudad, las acciones, la frase y la máscara.

I made a comic sheet style background, with several elements such as the city, the actions, the phrase and the mask.

- Uní el personaje con el fondo y así culmine el diseño del fan art de Harley.

I joined the character with the background and thus culminated the design of Harley's fan art.

Este diseño me encantó, y es uno de los dibujos en digital más completos que he realizado hasta ahora, además de ser el que más tiempo me ha tomado, teniendo un total de 21 horas aproximadamente. Sin duda pienso seguir realizando más fanarts de distintos personajes que me encantan. I loved this design, and it is one of the most complete digital drawings I have done so far, besides being the one that has taken me more time, having a total of 21 hours approximately. No doubt I will continue making more fanarts of different characters that I love.
