Absolutely!! “Allowing people to criticize, having in mind every Human is entitled to courtesy consideration n respect .. would sure be beneficial!
Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things. We should know this one thing “He has a right to criticize, who has a right heart to help”.
Taking constructive criticism from others is required to get to the next level. Not everyone knows this.. should be preached !

If we see the real concept behind the phrase, then the Proof of Brain (POB) is currently simply does not exists. Currently stake is being used to vote on content. This is just another Proof of Stake (PoS), or Delegated Proof of Stake (DPos) system with a good sounding name.

We don't hear much from them.

So diplomatic? 🙂 Not much...
Yes, indeed, I found ZERO root level posts from the founder in the last 50 days, and only THREE comments in the same last 50 days. With this much content of them:

Discord?
Unless there is some hidden, non-public, unknown sever or POB channel on discord, I have not found much more (than the above) activity from him on discord too.

Sometimes I wonder how this community is still running at such excitement and Interaction. I see new users are joining us with very high hopes. But still we don't have many big names from Hive community, they might be not interested or not aware of POB community. It's upto the leadership to give the required limelight and publicity this tribe needs, we can gain more support and investment from other tribes if the leadership showed some great participation and innovation. Everyone knows @onealfa.pob being the hero and Shining highlight of POB, all credit goes to your commitment into this community. Also I see @scholaris bearing the hard work on his shoulders, fighting plagiarism and abuse and continuing the spirit of community forward, doing great work. But is it enough?

Onealfa, I believe, does a good share of that hard work. It's too much data for me to sift through at this time. There will be clashes of perception regarding any form of regulation. As for me, I only do what I can.

My current concerns rest with the stability/availability of the actual platform. I am finding that POB has been hanging a lot the last few days, multi-posting articles and comments (resulting in duplicated rewards in some cases, although I know @scholaris is on the case with downvoting duplicate posts), and not transferring claimed rewards to balances. Sometimes it happens a day later (???) Not really a criticism, just wondering what is going on and whether it is being looked at by anyone with the requisite abilities to resolve the issue. I am also seeing some spam comments from users; one which comes to mind is a user who simply keeps posting comments "I have just upvoted you". They don't have any published articles themselves and they upvote with zero power seemingly and are not actually engaging. If repeated use of the same comment without any attempt to give any value to the upvote (none of their tokens are powered up!) constitutes spam, can we downvote it or should we mute it? I see @spaminator has voted on the comment too. It seems like an attempt to scam a reciprocal upvote... As regards plagiarism, I have my suspicions about about some members whose posts I see regularly. The consistency of writing style is not quite there in my view. Most people have a consistent style in their articles and in their engagement comments that follow. It become highly questionable when the two differ substantially or a member starts posting content that is not in line with their regular content/style/quality. I don't think all of their content is plagiarised, and I haven't been able to confirm anything as yet as I suspect some may be being translated from another language first, but it does make for uncomfortable curation. I guess the point is that if I continue to feel uncomfortable and can't prove anything, I will probably just stop upvoting their articles anyway. If people want to be part of Proof of Brain community and succeed on this platform they need to reflect the values of Proof of Brain. Write quality articles, don't plagiarise, don't look for the quick buck, engage positively and constructively with the community and invest in the community by powering up a good % of your POB :-)

Yes I do agree with you. Users plagiarizing will eventually stop doing it if they didn't receive any rewards.

I am also seeing some spam comments from users; one which comes to mind is a user who simply keeps posting comments "I have just upvoted you".

I noticed that too, and went into their profile and left a downvote on every comment that had some reward, there were few, but some had

I see @spaminator has voted on the comment too.

For @spaminator's case I created a post helping people on how to solve this problem.

Thanks @vempromundo. I'm a bit wary of using my downvote being quite new here. I want to make sure I have a clear understanding before I personally make use of this as I understand the responsibility it entails.

What do you mean "the" front end? The old proofofbrain.io front end is still available, isn't it? The proofofbrain.blog front end is not your only option!

Be a criticism become a life style to some people that they always practice, they believe that what others people's does is always wrong accept the one they did,but the truth remains that everyone is in title his or her opinion.

Constructive criticism?

I think this community got off to a running start on account of the novelty of no "ninja pre-mine" and what — at least on the surface — looks like a meritocracy of sorts.

But now that the novelty has worn off, we're faced with the greater issue of "What is this community ABOUT?" Well, it's a "general interest" community without a defined niche. So... with that squarely in mind, how does the community differentiate itself from any number of other "general interest" communities? Moreover — and this speaks to the declining price of the POB token — how is the community positioned to be anything aside from "just another tag" people add to their tag soup to earn a few extra cents which they then sell and buy cornflakes with?

That's just a more or less general observation.

More specifically, what's the plan, and where's the action?"

LeoFinance — for example — holds strong because there is a constant flow of news and updates and features being developed and announced. That kind of dynamic communication generates the sort of excitement that keep people interested. Here on POB we mostly talk about how "we don't hear much" from the founder of the community... and we also don't hear much about developments in the community.

"Decentralization" notwithstanding, initiative and development have to come from somewhere. Otherwise we all just sit around and "wait for something to happen."

=^..^=

Taking criticism positively is not easy after all. But I do agree with what you mentioned, if it is done in the right way and makes sense and is not just for the heck of it, it's easier to take it and make changes. There are full-time critics who are doing this as a job so it is definitely not a bad thing if it helps you to improve.

I've never heard from @proofofbrainio. Let's see if I am ever able to make a post that draws his attention.

But I have heard from other whales out here which feels really nice, I feel special and acknowledged.

Constructive criticisms are always important. It invites debate and improvement in an even-tempered manner. I can't speak for @proofofbrainio, but I know he's putting things into place like pobleus that allows a greater number of curators to vote with higher power then they would have alone.

I mean, the dude's just not a talker or writer. Some people are hands off. However, so long as the support keeps coming, then I'm not gonna complain too much. Though, to be honest, his lack of engagement is a little worrisome. I don't have all the answers.

This is so true, people keep criticizing and no response is gotten.

Taking a look at @onealfa.pob statistics. It's quite discouraging. 50 days, that's more than a month but yet, everyday people criticize. Sad.

as a newbie posting here My comments are practical and brief.
If the frontend of proofofbrain.io was fixed so you could edit and post from it like you can on Ecency you have better retention and a lot more posters.
use both and the diff are obvious. mark down formatting in ecency is simple click choices, in pob no help.
In ecancy points are wared and you can use them to promote etc and its all displayed so you can see what you have in points. pob needs similar.
when you link to a image in ecency its two clicks, in pob you type in the markup command brackets.
ecency preview is setup side by side the reblog to personal blog is an easy to find button.
I think you get the idea here.
Changes may sound cosmetic but its why people post from elsewhere, myself included.
