Now that we're in a dry season, I try as much as possible to manage some of the planting and gardening I do now to save me stress and for me to be able to keep pouring water to it. During dry season, most crops are usually very difficult to survive thereby making them to be scarce in the market. Lady's Finger (okra) is among the kind of crops that's usually scares during dry season because the soil is usually dried from water.

With my observation as a gardener, I saw that Lady's Finger is among the kind of cooking leaves that's usually scarce during dry season which usually makes the little one to be seen from market to be very costly. Because I and my family loves Lady's Finger for cooking of soup and eating of yam, I couldn't stand a chance of buying them very costly. So, I have to ask some questions from local elderly gardeners about how best Lady's Finger can be planted to survive during dry season.

After all that I learned about best way Lady's Finger can survive during dry season. I found out that Lady's Finger has different kind of specie and they are some that are very good and can survive dry season. With such Lady's Finger specie, the only challenge with it is that pouring of water morning and evening should be a continuous routine task.

The specie of Lady's Finger alone can't make them survive during dry season. So what I did is to make sure that i have a small portion of land where I can plant and manage them well.

I then planted a kind of Lady's Finger species that's good to produce cooking seeds for just been small. The kind of Lady's Finger crop is known to be foreign species. They don't also need much water from the soil for them to grow and produce fruit or seeds. So planting it was a very good thing I have done. Foreign Lady's Finger crop can survive any style of planting. Even if they're planted tight to each other, they can be fresh and produce good seeds. I planted the foreign Lady's Finger crop where they can be easy for me to puor water.

During this planting of Lady's Finger to survive during dry season, bird dump can play a very big role to make them look more fresh. So after a while from planting my Lady's Finger crop, I have to apply bird dum. Before I pour the bird dump, I make sure that the foreign Lady's Finger crop has germinated so that when the bird dump will be applied to it, the hotness from the dump will not kill the crop. I make sure that the lady's Finger grow some height before I pour bird dump to it.

Not minding that we're in dry season, my Lady's Finger crop has started to bear seeds and from all indications, the farm is looking very fresh.
