Cebu Island is just the best place to be, from north to south or even at the heart or center of it, you will definitely fall in love with it's amazing tourist destination. A blend of nature and culture. One of the renowned and stunning beach spot located in the Southern portion of Cebu is the Hermits Cove.

Finding the place and getting there was a challenge for me because of the long hours of driving but the good side about it, was the road was wide and cemented. We started our trip at our hometown (Cordova) around 6:00 o'clock in the morning. We used the Cordova-Cebu Expressway just to get a faster access going to the South. We took the road going to Carcar and made a turn at Aloguinsan road. Hermits Cove is located in a small town of Aloguinsan in the Southern portion of Cebu Island, it took us about 4 hours of trip traveling a wide, beautiful mountain view, winding road through the mountains.

We immediately get our tickets at the ticket house made of bamboo and nipa. The entrance fee was one hundred pesos per person, the good thing about it was the free cottage. I immediately thought a picture of the Iconic entrance signage which signifies that we were finally here at Hermits Cove in Barangay Kantabogon Aloguinsan Cebu.

Going down using the steps was just a breeze for us because of the excitement to see the the Cove, white sand and the clear deep blue waters. By the way, you need to reserve some energy in going up, honestly it was a bit of a good lung exercise.

Look at this white sand that welcome us as we look for the best cottage to chill and enjoy the great view. It totally took our breath away. It filled us with just good vibes of the place.

This are the nipa cottages. There were a lot of cottages but still it was not crowded, a good room of privacy for all beach lovers. Not to mention, the place was well maintained in terms of cleanliness plus you will never go hungry in the place because they have food stalls that sold beverages, Buko juice, and shakes. They also have poso and barbecue plus many more. By the way the place was managed and maintained by the women's group in the barangay, which serve as good source of income for the them. It was only a few months ago when they got to go back to regular service because the place was heavily devasted by typhoon Odette. All the structures were destroyed plus they need to clear a lot of typhoon debris. We were happy that they were finally able to slowly get up from the slumped brought by the pandemic and the typhoon.

When I see these beautiful places I just can't believe it. It seems impossible that there is so much beauty in the world. It looks like they had a great day on this paradisiacal beach with crystal clear waters. I'm glad the whole place recovered after the typhoons, that's great to know ❣️.
