The second part of the meeting focused on a pressing health issue - Dengue. As a community, we recognize the importance of being informed and prepared to handle such a significant threat. A local health expert was invited to speak about Dengue, its risks, and the importance of prevention.

Dengue, a viral infection spread through the bite of infected Aedes mosquitoes, is a significant health concern in our region. The expert emphasized that prevention is the most effective way to combat this disease. This involves protecting ourselves from mosquito bites, keeping our environment clean to prevent mosquito breeding, and seeking immediate medical help if Dengue symptoms are observed.

The PTA meeting served as a platform to discuss how the school and parents can work together to ensure the safety and health of our students. Ideas such as regular clean-up drives, installing mosquito nets in classrooms, and conducting regular health talks were proposed and well-received.

As we welcome new leadership and face health challenges, the Balingoan Central School community remains strong and united. We look forward to working together to provide our students with a safe, healthy, and conducive environment for learning. This PTA meeting was not just a gathering, but a testament to our commitment to our students and our community.

Raising a child requires both parents and the school working together. I'm glad the PTA is still there even after a lot of changes in the education system.
