What does SPK Network mean and how will it benefit Hive and its users? #Recap

Last Saturday, we had another interesting Space where important personalities from the Hive discussed their ideas and projects. This time, we could follow @theycallmedan as he brought us a novelty that will certainly positively impact the Hive blockchain and the way we use it.

The focus of the conversation revolved around the Speak Network, a data storage platform that is already in the testing phase and promises to bring significant possibilities for its users. The main feature of the Speak Network will be to allow people to be rewarded for storing content and running decentralized infrastructure.

During the conversation, we had Nathan Senn and Disregardfia, the developers of the project, sharing their insights. Nathan talked about his experience developing the Space Network and the challenges faced. Some technical terms were used, which were a bit difficult for me to comprehend, but the important point here is that it will be possible to store photos and videos on SPK, and the tests to integrate the platform into Dbuzz were promising.

What caught my attention at this point was the emphasis on the importance of decentralizing the infrastructure and the project's goal of encouraging user participation in node creation. The expectation is to make SPK completely accessible to everyone, which made me happy! I am not very knowledgeable about some of the more complex aspects of Web 3, so knowing that something new is being developed with ordinary users like me in mind excites me because I know I will learn a lot from it, and it will undoubtedly be a benefit to me. The idea here is that anyone with a computer can participate in the network, thereby expanding decentralization.

In general, the discussion highlights the collaborative and inclusive nature of the Speak Network's test net, which aims to reward users providing feedback and suggestions to improve the technology. The belief of those involved in the project is that decentralized data storage will become a popular and profitable asset in the future. Personally, this project is mind-blowing to me. It's incredible what technology, combined with blockchain, has to offer in terms of problem-solving and possibilities!

What's interesting about SPK is that it will be quite comprehensive and useful, as it will be possible to store any type of file through it, not just videos, as one might have thought given the project's name carries the 3speak brand (if I can call it that). There is even the possibility of storing software on the network, which could include programs related to the creation of NFTs. At this point in the conversation, I could see how extensive SPK will be, with many layers and possibilities, taking Hive to another level by having such a tool on its blockchain.

When it was mentioned in the Space that SPK could be a decentralized alternative to Google Drive, I admit that it became much easier to understand and conclude that undoubtedly, the potential of this project is enormous. More importantly, it has a genuinely plausible and useful use case, making it easily relevant not only to the Hive community but also to other Web 3 communities that have access to the platform. It's also crucial to emphasize the censorship resistance that SPK will have and that we will have control of our data in our hands and in the hands of people who, like us, value decentralization, unlike YouTube, for example, which controls our data from the videos we share.

The Speak Network is a significant promise that aims to implement a new tool in Hive that will undoubtedly bring positive changes to how we interact with the network. Additionally, it will be a new possibility to generate income with a useful, highly technological tool that everyone will have easy access to, aiming for maximum decentralization. Sábado passado tivemos mais um Space interessante onde personalidades importantes da Hive conversaram sobre suas ideias e projetos. Dessa vez, podemos acompanhar o @theycallmedan nos trazendo uma novidade que com certeza agregará positivamente a blockchain da Hive e a maneira como a utilizamos.

O foco da conversa foi em torno do Speak Network, plataforma de armazenamento de dados que já está em fase de testes e que promete trazer grandes possibilidades para os seus usuários, pois a principal característica da Speak Network será permitir que as pessoas sejam recompensadas por armazenar conteúdo e executar infra estrutura descentralizada.

Durante a conversa podemos contar com Nathan Senn e Disregardfia, que são os desenvolvedores do projeto. Nathan compartilhou sobre sua experiência ao desenvolver o Space Network e os desafios enfrentados. Alguns termos técnicos foram utilizados dos quais para mim foi um tanto difícil de compreender, mas o ponto importante aqui é que será possível armazenar fotos e vídeos na SPK, e que os testes para integrar a plataforma no Dbuzz foram promissores.

Então, saber que algo novo está sendo desenvolvido pensando em usuários comuns, como eu, me anima, pois sei que aprenderei muito com isso e sem dúvida será um benefício para mim. A ideia aqui é que todo mundo que tenha um computador possa participar da rede, consequentemente ampliando a descentralização.

Em geral, a discussão destaca a natureza colaborativa e inclusiva da test net da Speak Network, que visa recompensar também aqueles usuários que fornecerem feedbacks e sugestões para melhorar a tecnologia. A crença dos envolvidos no projeto é que no futuro o armazenamento de dados descentralizado se torne um ativo popular e rentável. Particularmente para mim, esse projeto é de explodir a cabeça. É incrível o que a tecnologia somada a blockchain tem a nos oferecer de resoluções de problemas e possibilidades!

O interessante sobre o SPK, é que será bastante abrangente e útil, pois através dele será possível armazenar qualquer tipo de arquivo, e não apenas vídeo, como talvez poderíamos ter pensado já que o nome do projeto carrega a marca 3speak (se é que posso chamar assim). Existe, inclusive, a possibilidade de armazenar até softwares na rede, o que consequentemente, poderia incluir programas relacionados a criação de NFTS. Nesse ponto da conversa pude perceber o quão grandioso será o SPK, com muitas camadas e possibilidades, fazendo com que a Hive alcance outro patamar tendo em sua blockchain uma ferramenta como essa.

Quando em certo ponto do Space foi mencionado que o SPK poderia ser uma alternativa descentralizada para o Google Drive, admito que ficou muito mais fácil de compreender, e chegar a conclusão de que sem dúvida a potencialidade desse projeto é enorme, mas o mais importante é que ele tem um caso de uso realmente plausível e útil, o que o tornará facilmente relevante não só para a comunidade Hive, como para outras comunidades Web 3 que tiverem acesso a plataforma. É importante frisar também a resistência à censura que o SPK terá, e que teremos o controle dos nossos dados nas nossas mãos e nas mãos de pessoas que assim como nós estimam a descentralização, diferente do Youtube, por exemplo, que controla nossos dados a partir dos vídeos que compartilhamos.
