Tile art, which dates back to the 14th century, is used for decoration of places and objects. The center of this art in Turkey, which started in the East and spread to Italy and Spain, and then to the whole of Europe, is the province of Kütahya. The first and only Tile museum in the world is also located here.

I went to that museum today. The place used as a museum was a historical building. There were examples of art starting from the 12th century and continuing to the present day. Let's take a closer look at them together.

Kökeni 14. yüzyıllara dayanan Çini sanatı mekan ve eşya süslemelerinde kullanılıyor. Doğu'da başlayıp İtalya ve İspanya'ya, oradan tüm Avrupa'ya yayılan bu sanatın Türkiye'deki merkezi Kütahya ilidir. Dünyadaki ilk ve tek Çini müzesi de burada bulunur.

Bugün o müzeye gittim. Müze olarak kullanılan yer tarihi bir yapıydı. İçerisinde 12. yüzyıldan başlayıp günümüze kadar devam eden sanatın örnekleri vardı. Gelin hep birlikte onlara yakından bakalım.

The examples and quality of this art increase in the following years. Before moving on to these examples, I would like to give you brief information about the art of tile making. One surface of the terracotta is glazed. The glazed surface is then prepared with various shapes and dyeing. It is then baked in the oven one last time.

This art was frequently used on the interior walls of the spaces. It is also frequently preferred in plates and ornaments.

Bu sanatın örnekleri ve kalitesi ilerleyen yıllarda artıyor. Bu örneklere geçmeden önce sizlere Çinicilik sanatıyla ilgili kısaca bilgi vermek istiyorum. Pişmiş toprağın bir yüzeyi sırlanır. Sırlanan yüzey daha sonra çeşitli şekiller ve boyamalar ile hazırlanır. Daha sonra son bir kez daha fırında pişirilir.

Bu sanat mekanların iç duvarlarında sıkça kullanılmıştır. Tabak ve süs eşyalarında da sıkça tercih edilmiştir.

The building, which is used as the Tile Museum, was built in 1411 by the Germiyan Bey, Yakup Çelebi. The museum was restored and put into service in 1999 by the Culture and Tourism Directorate. The part where Yakup Bey's tomb is located is included in the museum.

Çini Müzesi olarak kullanılan bina 1411 yılında Germiyan Beyi Yakup Çelebi tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Müze 1999 yılında Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğü tarafından restore edilerek hizmete açılmıştır. Yakup Bey'in mezarının olduğu kısım müzeye dahildir.
