Hello Dear Friends,
Konya is a magnificent city that attracts tourists from many countries around the world. There are many beautiful places to visit here. During my visit there, I rested very little and wandered for hours, especially the old buildings and museums were my first choices. I wanted to add people to all this beauty, and the marketplace, where people are concentrated, was a good place to do that. The products that the villagers usually grow or produce themselves were sold here. If you are a person who loves organic products like me, Sille market place is for you. Moreover, you are unlikely to go hungry while you are here. Cafes and restaurants start where the marketplace ends. But I preferred chestnuts and boiled corn. It is quite enjoyable to consume these while walking.

Konya şehri dünyanın birçok ülkesinden turisti kendine çeken muhteşem bir şehir. Burada gezilecek çok sayıda güzel yer var. Oraya yaptığım ziyaret sırasında çok az dinlenip saatlerce gezdim. Özellikle eski yapılar, müzeler ilk tercihlerim oldu. Tüm bu güzelliklerin arasına insanı da eklemek istedim. İnsanların yoğun olarak bulunduğu pazar yeri bunun için uygundu. Köylülerin genelikle kendi yetiştirdikleri veya imal ettikleri ürünler burada satılıyordu. Benim gibi organik ürünleri seven biriyseniz Sille pazar yeri tam size göre. Üstelik burada gezerken aç kalma ihtimaliniz de yok. Pazar yerinin bittiği yerde kafe ve restoranlar başlıyor. Ama ben tercihimi kestane ve haşlanmış mısırdan yana kullandım. Yürürken bunları tüketmek oldukça keyifli oluyor.

In the first picture below you see me buying chestnuts. I bought chestnuts that the old man had skillfully prepared. He must have been doing this for a long time. The chestnuts he cooked were just right. The chestnuts were well browned on the outside and soft on the inside.

Aşağıdaki ilk resimde beni kestane alırken görüyorsunuz. İhtiyar adamın ustalıkla hazırladığı kestanelerden aldım. Bu işi uzun zamandır yapıyor olmalıydı. Pişirdiği kestaneler tam kıvamındaydı. Kestanelerin dışı iyice kızarmış, içi yumuşaktı.

After buying the chestnuts, my family and I headed towards the inner parts of the market. We had come a long way. After filling our bellies, there were many places to visit. We were supposed to speed up as we progressed. But we slowed down. The organic products looked quite delicious. Also, the souvenirs were remarkable.

Kestaneleri aldıktan sonra ailemle birlikte pazarın iç kısımlarına doğru ilerledik. Uzun yoldan gelmiştik. Karnımızı doyurduktan sonra burada gezilecek birçok yer vardı. İlerledikçe hızlanmamız gerekiyordu. Ama yavaşladık. Organik ürünler oldukça lezzetli görünüyordu. Ayrıca, hediyelik eşyalar dikkat çekiciydi.

The shopkeepers here were very interested. They were not only interested in selling their products. They were curious about the people coming from outside and wanted to get to know them. There were people we chatted with along the way. I learned a lot of good things from them. I also got preliminary information about the places to visit in the region.

Buranın esnafı oldukça ilgiliydi. Sadece kendi ürünlerini satmak gibi bir amaçları yoktu. Dışarıdan gelen insanları merak ediyor, onları tanımak istiyorlardı. Yol boyunca sohbet ettiğimiz insanlar oldu. Onlardan çok güzel şeyler öğrendim. Bölgenin gezilecek yerleri hakkında da ön bilgiler aldım.

As we moved towards the end of the market, cafes and restaurants started to appear. Many of the places on my sightseeing list started from here. In this area, there was Hagia Eleni Church, historical mosques, museums, Devil's Bridge and baths. I will tell you about these beautiful places in detail in my future posts. Take care of yourselves.

Pazarın sonuna doğru ilerlediğimizde kafe ve restoranlar gözükmeye başlamıştı. Gezi listemdeki birçok yer de buradan itibaren başlayordu.
