Macrophotography: Playing hide and seek

This is a female gray wall jumper with a Latin name called Menemerus bivittatus . Initially, I saw that lady hunting the ants on the wall of my house. Yes, there are lots of Pharaoh ants in there, and this lady is ready to prey on them whenever she is hungry.

While she was hunting for ants, I distracted her for a moment. It was a bad shooting session because, with just the first click, she jumped off the wall into my wife's ornamental plant. But I'm not a man who gives up easily!

On the leaves of the plant, this lady was even calmer than before. She hung in there, but like most jumping spiders, she seemed to want to engage me in a game of hide and seek.

She thought it would trick me, but what she did actually gave me a better chance, so I was free enough to shoot her from some cool angles. She is indeed a sweet jumping spider!
