On a hot Christmas day nothing beats a cold beer and a nice cool place to chill from the heat.

The 30 minute drive from Musswellbrook was well worth the drive. We arrived at the entrance after a dirt road drive. It felt ages on the way in, but that is what always happens when you drive into a place. The journey in always feels long. I am happy to say that next time I visit here, Easter is the goal, we will do an over night camp. That way I can fully explore the place.

After a walk down a flight of stairs our party were ecstatic with the water flow. Fresh water that flows well always brings a nice feeling to the hot dry air. The kids look on with their eyes wide and ready to get the all clear from us to run, dive and play in the river.

On the word 'Go" they are quick to the mark to find a place up river. An advance party of eager kids are rushing to the waters edge ready with their water guns on the ready to shoot each other. Leaving the adults to shout at them not to run in case they trip and hurt their knees.

The obligatory selfie is in order after a quick refreshing dunk in the water. It was cold but nice to the hot body.

Crystal clear waters with river rocks at the bottom. From experience after swimming you are advised to go as far up the river from the stairs where the water is deeper and you won't have to stand on the semi big rocks.

Prolonged pressure on the feet does not feel nice.

And you have to always find the shade. The rocky side of the river does get hot. I think this place will be good winter place since the rocks will store the heat.

He is having so much fun! The little adventurer with no fear. Not even the cold will let this guy dampen his time.
