The City Of Uyo

This is the capital of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria, and it occupies Uyo LGA, parts of Itu LGA, Uruan LGA and Etinan LGA of which are some of the local governments in this state. It is a very organised city with beautiful structures and a highly diluted population.

The city center is known as Plaza(which is being shown in the pictures) and it connects all the major roads in Uyo; Aka Rd, Abak Rd, Ikot Ekpene Rd, Barracks Rd, Nwaniba Rd and Oron Rd.

Some of these roads are very beautifu l and have trees planted over the sidewalks for aesthetics. Uyo is come to University of Uyo, several private polytechnics and monotechnics. The high brow residential areas are Ewet Housing, Shelter Afrik and Osongoma Housing Estate. Uyo has a museum, several shopping malls (including Shoprite which is under construction), a cinema, 5 star hotels, golf club, night clubs and many more.
