The 100-Day Project, Day 24 — This Episode Interrupted by the Start of Gardening Season!

Day 24 of the 100-Day Project was somewhat taken over by the fact that we had the first calm, sunny and not horribly cold day of 2024... and we are gardening nerds, so much of my creative time was usurped by gardening time.

Detail of a very large stone, made for a Reiki practitioner, last year

Which is really OK, and I knew this was going to happen, sooner or later. On top of that, there was all the usual work-related stuff to take care of... and so goes the life of the self-employed.

Accordingly, it's going to be a somewhat short post today.

Onwards...!

Somewhat similar to the first one I painted yesterday, but more defined center.

Day 24 Stone Painting:

So, I continue with the experimentation/prototyping process for the upcoming commission. Whereas I do have to be sensitive to the clients' wishes, I also have to find a balance so I am doing something that feels right.

After all, I'm going to be doing 25 of these!

Slightly different variation; all the small dots are gold, instead of colored.

So now I have made four samples or prototypes, whatever you want to call them. Now we get to make a final decision, and then I get to more or less do the same thing 25 times over.

For the purposes of this challenge, I'm obviously not going to show pictures of pretty much the same Rock with every day so I'm update, so I am going to challenge myself to do something unique that is not part of the 25 stone Commission in addition to any rocks I paint for that job.

That's probably overly ambitious, but we'll see what happens!

Something very different I painted a couple of years ago...

Day 24 Summary and Social Media Bits:

Two more prototype stones finished: These were better than the previous two; now I have a total of four, which should be enough to nail down the final design. Of course, all 25 stones will be unique and different in their own way... just because the stones are unique and different.

Daily Twitter/X post: Check. Shared the same large stone picture in the header here... trying to show more "major" pieces.
Daily Facebook Page post: Fail. Out of time and energy; besides, I was dealing with log-in hassles.
Daily Instagram post: Check. Also shared that large stone picture on Instagram.

Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; stage 1 of the 25-stone commission completed, which — as I said yesterday, as well, is actually a relief. Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!

Day 24 completed; Surprised I actually was able to focus as well as I could... feeling rather tired now, so time to end today's update!

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!
