A gloomy walk

Hello friends.

I'm not a wizard or a magician, I'm just learning to be one.

Wednesday is a day for walking.
Today, the management sent me to fix a problem with computers in the store, which is located in a place called "At the tank". Why "At the tank"? You look at the photo and I think that the question will disappear immediately.

I quickly solved all the working moments and decided to take a little walk around this neighborhood. I haven't been here for a long time! As it turned out, since the pre-pandemic times. I realized this when I went to eat in the old Soviet "Pancake House". They served dumplings in disposable dishes and with a disposable fork. To my question "Why is this so?", the woman answered me - "Pandemic".

I stand like a pillar with signs "where should I go?". I looked along Oktyabrsky Prospekt in the direction of the Central Square. I don't want to go there.

20211123_wednesday_4.jpg
Trade Union street. Hmm. No, I'm not going there now. I want to go back along this street back to my car, which is in the parking lot.

20211123_wednesday_5.jpg
I decided to follow the girl along Oktyabrsky Avenue to the north. Then I want to turn right and get off at Karl Marx Street. Yes. All the streets are named with the subtext of the 1917 Revolution.

I crossed the road, looked at the space in front of me and realized - all this sad shit! Right in front of me was the Grand Palace of Culture, so to speak, the recreation center of this neighborhood. And in front of him I don't see anything that indicates the possibility of rest. 2 benches standing along the sidewalk. and that's it! The only thing that pleased me was the tree with small red apples.

20211123_wednesday_9.jpg
In Soviet times, this building was called the "May 1 Palace of Culture". Now it is the Regional House of Folk Art. "Regional"! And the impression is that this is some kind of abandoned building that has no owner. I think that the governor of the region does not even know where this building is located. Our governor has nothing to do with our region. He was sent here by the President of the Russian Federation from Moscow. Our whole region is like this "Palace", there is such devastation, despondency, and no development.

20211123_wednesday_11.jpg
Now elderly people are coming to this building, it turns out that some company has opened a sale of cheap shoes for such people there. Sad shit....

20211123_wednesday_12.jpg

20211123_wednesday_13.jpg
I walk straight ahead, the school remains to my right.

20211123_wednesday_14.jpg
Rowan pleases my eye. I am always pleased with the sight of these berries. But I saw a birdhouse in the schoolyard. Lord.. it is necessary to tear off the hands of labor teachers or who else could tie this misunderstanding to a tree? Sad shit...

20211123_wednesday_17.jpg

I turned into the courtyard of residential buildings. What do I see there? The whole usual set of such yards is a plastic playground where there are no children, cars that are randomly parked. Another "sad shit".

20211123_wednesday_22.jpg

20211123_wednesday_21.jpg
The car says "I will transport everything". Interestingly, when a person claims that he can transport everything, does he really believe it? Will he be able to transport a nuclear missile? Or nuclear waste?

20211123_wednesday_26.jpg
Pigeons are sitting on a manhole. It's warm for them here. They switched to the winter mode of life. And ahead are 4 old houses that were built in the 50s of the last century. Such houses are called "Stalinist". In such houses, I always like the height of the ceiling and large windows. But this is not always a virtue. I don't want to live in such houses.

20211123_wednesday_42.jpg

20211123_wednesday_47.jpg
These houses are made of a popular and cheap material at that time - cinder blocks. Now it is forbidden to make houses out of this shit.

20211123_wednesday_44.jpg

20211123_wednesday_48.jpg

20211123_wednesday_46.jpg

20211123_wednesday_49.jpg
All. I went out on Karl Marx Street. This street runs almost through the entire city from south to north. Or vice versa?

20211123_wednesday_63.jpg

20211123_wednesday_70.jpg
The intersection of streets. I'm going to turn right now and go to my car.
But there is an "interesting place" left to my left. A large ravine in which the village was once located, from which 4 burned houses remained. I've been thinking for several years now - why won't the city government give this land to anyone to build something necessary and interesting for the city here? In my memory, several such ravines have already been filled in and houses have been built.

Put on the mask!

20211123_wednesday_72.jpg
Despondency and melancholy. Gloomy weather, a depressing city that tries to take away all our vital energy. In my head, there is only a phrase - sad shit.

This is my route.

Splashes of colors only from rowan and red apples.
But when the day is sunny, it becomes brighter and more cheerful in the city.

Your city doesn't look as sad as you describe it, I hope one day soon you will find a way to love it :)
