The Proud Sparrow

Hello friends.

I'm not a wizard or a magician, I'm just learning to be one.


This is my response to the call of @nelinoeva to respond to the topic of FLUFFED-UP BIRDS as part of the project Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest.


@nelinoeva in her recruiting post showed sparrows that fluffed their feathers. There are different reasons for this behavior of birds. The most basic thing is that birds thus increase the air gap between their feathers so that they do not feel cold. Air is the best heat insulator, the most important thing is that it is somehow isolated from a source of heat or cold. Feathers, down is an insulator, by the way, there is also a lot of air in their composition.
Maybe I'm not original in my choice, but I also met a sparrow in a tree in the park, but he sat with his tail to me.

Самое основное - птицы таким образом увеличивают воздушную прослойку между своими перьями, чтобы им не было холодно. Воздух - эот самый лучший теплоизолятор, самое главное, чтобы он был чем-от изолирован от источника тепла или холода. Перья, пух - это изолятор, кстати, в их составе тоже имеется достаточно много воздуха.
Может быть, я не оригинален в своем выборе, но я тоже встретил воробья на дереве в парке, но он сидел ко мне хвостом.


I still managed to persuade the sparrow to turn in front of me. But to do this, it took me a little bit to change the point of view. The sparrow was sitting all so proud. He probably felt like an eagle, the King of the tree, the Ruler of the World!

Я всё же сумел уговорить воробья повернуться ко мне передом. Но для этого и мне потребовалось немного сменить точку обзора. Воробей сидел весь такой гордый. Наверное, он ощущал себя орлом, Царем дерева, Властелином Мира!


By the way, people began to put food in bird feeders in parks, so they support birds in a difficult time for them. Our land is already covered with snow and it has become difficult for birds to get food. I think it's probably time to write a post with photos of bird feeders.

Кстати, люди стали в парках класть корм в птичьи кормушки, таким образом они поддерживают птиц в тяжелое для них время. У нас земля уже покрыта снегом и корм добывать птицам стало сложно. Я вот думаю, что наверное, пора написать пост с фотографиями птичьих кормушек.


I will allow myself a small experiment. Friends, how many birds do you see in the photo? Sparrows? I think that on a small smartphone screen it will definitely not be possible to determine this number. I showed this photo to my daughter. At first, she didn't see all the sparrows on her smartphone.

Позволю себе маленький эксперимент. Друзья, сколько вы видите птиц на фото? Воробьев? Я думаю, что на маленьком экране смартфона точно будет не определить это число. Я показал это фото своей дочке. Она сначала на смартфоне не всех воробьёв увидела.


I want to say that I photographed these sparrows in the thickets of old grass to the sound. I didn't see any birds. But I think I managed to capture them well.
You can say - a good shot. I photographed a large series. Not all photos were successful. It was like I was shooting from a machine gun and not all the bullets hit the target.

Хочу сказать, что я фотографировал этих воробьёв в зарослях старой травы на звук. Я не видел птиц. Но я думаю, что мне удалось их зафиксировать. Можно сказать - удачный выстрел. Я фотографировал большой серией. Не все фото оказались удачными. Словно я стрелял из автомата и не все пули попали в цель.


I want to say a big thank you once again to @malinova for her contests in the search for birds. This encourages me to be more interested in the life of birds.
