In Russia, the chain of stores under the brands "Magnet" and "Pyaterochka" is very popular. Very often these shops are even close to each other.
These are, in a way, competing brands. I go there and there. But recently, a Magnet store was opened next to the cafe where I have lunch at lunchtime, so I began to visit there more often.
Today is Friday. I decided to stop by and buy some groceries for the weekend.



Both of these brands belong to the category of economy stores, social stores, for the general population.
I would compare them to the Lidl brand. I have been to such stores in Finland.
In the Magnet, you can buy the most necessary set of products.
Usually, there are fruits and vegetables at the entrance.
I immediately took white and black grapes. The price is about $2 / kg



Mushrooms. Champignons. The package is 400 grams. I took one package at a price of $ 1.7, we will make mushrooms under the grill. Put a piece of cheese in the middle of the mushroom and it will be very tasty. I recommend cooking mushrooms like this.



Apples. I didn't buy them now. I still have apples at home from my last visit to the store. By the way, the price is less than a dollar.



I love pears. But this time I did not buy them, as well as apples. We need to save some money. Something is getting hard with my finances. The price of pears is 2-2.5 dollars per kilogram.



Here we need to take some bananas home. Once upon a time in Soviet times, bananas were very rare. With the fall of the Soviet regime, bananas appeared in stores and they were then cheaper than potatoes. Now they cost from $ 1 and more.



Green tangerines. Prices are above $2. This is some kind of very high and wild price. I definitely won't buy such tangerines. Let them rot on this shelf and continue.



I took a couple of jars of olives. But I take green peas and corn in large cans at the Metro store.






Pasta, spaghetti. I took 2 packages. My daughter loves pasta very much. Previously, her wife often cooked them for her, now we limit them a little. It is better to eat cereals and vegetables. By the way, there was stewed cabbage with pearl barley for dinner today.



There is a large selection of dairy products in this store. My daughter ordered me to buy kefir. And cocoa powder. That's why I came to the store. But I couldn't find cocoa right away and asked this nice girl about his whereabouts.
She told me to look for it on the shelves where there is coffee.









I took Nesquik and just cocoa powder under the brand Magnet. I wanted to take the "Golden Label", but changed my mind. This brand of cocoa has been known since Soviet times, but when I bought it last time, I didn't like it.



There are all sorts of toys for children closer to the cash register. But it's not very interesting to me anymore.
And New Year's attributes and souvenirs have already begun to be sold. There are already less than two months left before the holiday.






And at the cash register itself lies all kinds of "children's joy". Very often you can see how children ask their parents - mom, buy a chocolate bar, buy chewing gum.



The saleswoman did not want to sell the boy the goods because he was without a mask. And the girl had a mask. She paid money for the goods.



Here is such a grocery basket today I got home. I have a reusable bag with me to take the groceries home. I try not to use plastic bags once again.
