Macro Photography Session | Rocks à La Carte - The Mystion

COVER.jpg

Hello everybody :)

Let's go for another session of "Rocks à La Carte".
As previously described, but taking the opportunity to provide a brief introduction for those attending this session for the first time, here we will explore the hidden wonders and fascinating details of the rocks that make up this collection. Each rock has been carefully selected for its unique characteristics, forming a geological treasure that invites contemplation and deeper study. It will be a journey of discovery, where the intricate patterns, textures and colors that define each of these natural gems are visually recorded.

Here is the catalogue:

The specimens to be included in this catalog were meticulously chosen from a diverse array of stones gathered on the mountain frequented during my walks. Through their diversity, they collectively offer a visual depiction of the geological features inherent to this region.
Today i present one rock chosen randomly from the board, called "The Mystion" :)

Let me present today’s model:
Before moving onto the result...
  • My introductory thoughts about macro photography:

It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.

Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.

Let's now move onto the result:

To finish, i leave you with some considerations regarding these photo sessions:

Exploring these miniature subjects through macro photography reveals a captivating realm where even the smallest details take on profound significance. Immersing ourselves in the intricacies of these tiny creations allows us to appreciate the often-overlooked beauty of this microcosm. Each photograph captures a fleeting moment, showcasing the richness hidden within the minutiae of the natural world. In my view, the essence of macro photography lies in its ability to elevate the ordinary to the extraordinary, offering an intimate and mesmerizing perspective.

Layers of subtle intricacies combine to create a vibrant portrayal of resilience and beauty, found even in the most humble aspects of existence. With each image, i uncover more than mere visual documentation i encounter a tangible representation of the complexity and abundance quietly present in our surroundings, often unnoticed and easily dismissed.

The session is closed for today.
Hope you like it :)
