Macro Photography Session | Sweet Gum Tree Ball
Hello everybody :)
I'm still far from my house where i have my home studio where the objects that i describe visually from a macro perspective pass by.
This distance is already noticeable due to the quality i can present when carrying out a session, mainly due to the lack of a point of light that meets the minimum requirement, be it in terms of tone, mobility and even its range.
The material i have at home is nothing like the professional material suitable for those who do macro photography, at all, but i've gotten used to it and i know what i can expect, knowing the limits it's easier to obtain a better result close to what is expected, but in these cases i will have to be content with what i got.
After finishing the session and looking at the result, despite the quality of the focus not conveying reality, the result did not disappoint me.
The object was collected from a tree at the top of a hill, and was already in this state, still attached to one of the tree's branches.
I didn't know exactly what it was about.
At first i thought it was one of those thorny shells that protect the chestnut, but after doing some image research, i came to the conclusion that it was a ball from the sweet gum tree.
During the session, the chosen tones convey a metallic appearance to the object.
When looked closer, certain details resemble bronze ornaments.
Let me present today’s model:
Before moving onto the result...
- My introductory thoughts about macro photography:
It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.
Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.
Let's now move onto the result:
To finish, i leave you with some considerations regarding these photo sessions:
Examining these rocky specimens through the lens of macro photography reveals a fascinating dimension where tiny elements acquire significant visual weight and the most exquisite complexities take on a central role. Delving into the intricacies of these diminutive creations gives us the opportunity to observe the allure of a realm that often escapes our attention. Each photograph freezes a moment in time, highlighting the opulence meticulously hidden in the smallest facets of the natural world. In my opinion, the essence of macro photography lies in its ability to transform the ordinary into extraordinary, presenting an intimate and passionate perspective.
Intertwined layers of delicate subtleties come together to create a vivid portrait of resilience and beauty, permeating even the tiniest aspects of existence. In each image I unearth more than a mere visual record. I discover a tangible manifestation of the complexity and abundance that silently inhabits our surroundings, often overlooked and easily overlooked.
The session is closed for today.
Hope you like it :)
