Hello everybody :)

The process of selecting the rocks featured in this collection was nothing short of meticulous. Each stone was carefully chosen by finger and eye from a vast array of geological specimens found throughout the mountain. This meticulous curation ensures that the collection offers a comprehensive visual representation of the many unique geological features of this region.
Allow me to introduce you to another gem from this collection: "The Pseudo Volcanic". This particular rock was chosen at random from our display board, but its meaning is anything but arbitrary and the name originates from its appearance.

Here is the catalogue of this collection "Rocks à La Carte":

Let me present today’s model:
Before moving onto the result...
  • My introductory thoughts about macro photography:

The world of photography, especially macro photography, is a realm filled with endless possibilities and boundless creativity. It is truly remarkable how the use of macros, with their ability to create a beautifully blurred background, can produce such diverse images full of contrast and texture, especially when capturing subjects of this nature.
From the delicate complexity of a "seemingly" simple plant, to the rough textures of a worn stone, macro photography reveals a world of details that often goes unnoticed by the naked eye. It's as if a whole new universe unfolds before the lens, inviting us to explore and appreciate the beauty in the minutiae of everyday life.

What makes macro photography so captivating is its ability to offer a new perspective on the world around us. With the right technique and vision, even the most mundane subjects can be transformed into works of art, each image telling its own unique story.
There are no limits to what can be captured. Each object becomes a potential subject, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, where even the smallest details can evoke a feeling of surprise.

Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.

Let's now move onto the result:

To finish, i leave you with some considerations regarding these photo sessions:

Examining miniature subjects using macro photography unveils a compelling domain where minute details acquire significant importance. Immersion in the intricacies of these diminutive objects enables the recognition of the frequently disregarded beauty within this microenvironment. Each image preserves a transitory instance, displaying the complexity concealed within the small-scale elements of nature. Macro photography's core essence resides in its capacity to elevate commonplace subjects to remarkable levels, presenting an intimate and captivating viewpoint.

The session is closed for today.
Hope you like it :)
