If we want to find a memory, we have to get closer to observe its details and in doing so, it is very easy to mistake feathers for scales. Only from afar can we define roughly what is real and what is not."

Hi Hivers.

Today I want to continue sharing my collection "Our Lady of...".
This time, I will explain the metaphors of Our Lady of Dreams and Memories, and the common symbolism of this piece with some of my previous works.

This collection has been a milestone for me, marking my path as a crypto-artist with my first paintings that mix the style of digital painting with illustration.

Our Lady of Dreams and Memories represents the mixture between our dreams and reality. Dreams and memories often relate to the point of being confused. "As they get closer, their forms begin to dissipate.

Her halo represents this mixture, and her veil in negative space is the mystery that, when revealed, hides something else.

"...memory is composed not only of remembrances but also of the forgotten. It is presence and absence, but also imagination".

Fish and birds represent memories and imagination; and they are a constant metaphor in my work, always from alterity.

"If we want to find a memory, we have to get closer to observe its details and in doing so, it is very easy to mistake feathers for scales."

This saint, like all those in this collection, is the other. She is chaos; everything that can control and create itself, such as memory and imagination.

To what extent do we control our own imagination?

And the mixture of digital painting and illustration is my way of expressing how the real, the imaginary and dreams merge.
