It starts from Pian de la Bala, at an altitude of 1380 m, a beautiful panoramic point surrounded by the peaks of Monte Grappa, an ideal place for grazing cows that should arrive in a month.

As soon as you recover from the spectacle of the panorama, your attention falls on the beautiful flowers that color the lawn.
ITA
To start the excursion, take the Meatte path, a beautiful mule track built during the First World War.
ITA
The view is incredible, in some points approaching the cliff can reserve some problems for those with vertigo problems.
ITA
Another interesting aspect are the tunnels that you have to cross to continue along the path.
ITA
To further testify the historical events that have affected this place, there are the tunnels dug into the rock with the aim of creating shelters or shelters for the soldiers.
ITA
The route runs along the perimeter of Mount Boccaor and before reaching Mount Meatte it folds north to descend along a grassy slope.
ITA
Before going down as I had anticipated, you can visit the trenches that develop along the entire ridge of the mountain.
ITA
Going down the lawn I was lucky enough to see a group of chamois, I photographed them, but since I only had a smartphone, I didn't like the photo because they were a bit distant for the focal length I had available.
ITA
Here are some finds from the First World War! After more than 100 years, there are still bullets, helmets but also unexploded ordnance, unbelievable.
ITA
In the short, this construction can be read as casone Boccaor, an important building in terms of size, who knows how many cows and sheep grazed in these meadows.
ITA
The path then continues west, even here the view is beautiful!
ITA
The instinct to turn around to admire the landscape in its entirety is natural...
ITA
Luck has it that at some point I noticed another group of chamois.
While watching them I counted 14!
Sorry for the low quality photo taken with the smartphone!

Another half hour of walking and I had concluded a beautiful circular excursion.

Hi Alessandro, thanks for this beautiful shots. These scenes kind of remind me of how I always pictured the places where Lord of the Rings would unfold.
This pictures is just waiting for the first Ent to start walking to me:
Hi, thanks for the comment. I had never thought about it, maybe some perspective recalls some settings… I try to propose this place to Perer Jackson. Maybe some ideas come to mind. 😅
