Excursion to the Valley of the Dead Water - - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hi friends, what a struggle to post these days, there's always something that commits me and I always have to postpone!

Today I'm taking you to Monfumo in the province of Treviso along the Path of the Dead Water!
I had passed it many times but never stopped to explore, I finally decided to!

Oggi vi porto a Monfumo in provincia di Treviso lungo il Sentiero dell' Acqua Morta!
Ci ero passato davanti molte volte ma non mi sono mai fermato ad esplorare, finalmente ho deciso di farlo!

I parked the car curbside next to an old abandoned building and then just followed the signs.

Ho parcheggiato l'auto a bordo strada vicino ad un vecchio edificio abbandonato e poi non ho fatto altro che seguire i cartelli.

After a short stretch of paved road, a steep grassy path descends which winds ever further between the hills.

Dopo un breve tratto di strada asfaltata si scende un ripido sentiero erboso che si infila sempre più tra le colline.

Here is an overview of Monfumo, a town of about 1400 inhabitants located at 227 meters above sea level.

Ecco una panoramica di Monfumo, una cittadina di circa 1400 abitanti posta a 227 metri sul livello del mare.

The landscape is very beautiful and lively.
The vegetation is also very varied, a pleasure for the eyes.

Anche la vegetazione è molto varia, un piacere per gli occhi.

There were also some muscari flowers...

The path is very steep, at a certain point it is no longer possible to enjoy the panorama.

And finally here is a beautiful horizontal lawn, there the sense of peace is incredible, perhaps also due to the vivid colors that spring offers.

From this point begins a beautiful and relaxing walk in a spontaneous nature, tamed only by a beautiful mowed lawn.

Da questo punto inizia una bellissima e rilassante passeggiata in una natura spontanea, addomesticata solamente da un bel prato sfalciato.

After crossing a small wooden bridge, you go along a small rivulet that acts as Ariadne's thread to continue along the route.

Superato un ponticello di legno si costeggia un piccolo rivolo che funge da filo di Arianna per proseguire lungo il percorso.

At one point the stream got wider and I had fun taking some pictures taking advantage of the reflections.

Ad un certo punto il ruscello si è fatto più largo e mi sono divertito a scattare qualche foto sfruttando i riflessi.

Then again the path led to another large meadow, a pleasure for the eyes.

Poi di nuovo il percorso a condotto ad un altro grande prato, un piacere per gli occhi.

Again a wide opening on the landscape, this path never ceased to surprise me...

Ancora un ampia apertura sul paesaggio, questo sentiero non finiva di sorprendermi...

So I decided to climb a hill in the direction of a farmhouse.

Ho deciso quindi di salire una collina in direzione di un agriturismo.

The path was right in the middle of an orchard...

Il sentiero era proprio in mezzo ad un frutteto...

When I reached the top of the hill, I glimpsed a villa in the distance...

Quando ho raggiunto la sommità della collina intravedevo lontana una villa...

I had seen well, there was a Venetian villa!

ITA

Avevo visto bene, c'era una villa veneta!

Peering through the vegetation I managed to see the facade, it wasn't bad, too bad it's abandoned.
It would be worth renovating!

Scrutando tra la vegetazione sono riuscito a scorgere la facciata, non era niente male, peccato sia abbandonata.
Varrebbe la pena ristrutturarla!

When I passed the villa, I glimpsed the farmhouse but before that, there was a small church annexed to the villa.

Quando ho superato la villa, intravedevo l'agriturismo ma prima, annessa alla villa c'era una piccola chiesetta.

One more look at the landscape and then I headed towards the farmhouse which unfortunately was closed.

Ancora un'occhiata al paesaggio e poi mi sono diretto verso l'agriturismo che purtroppo era chiuso.

It was a beautiful excursion, I discovered a truly rewarding landscape. The surprise of the villa was a must, it's a pity it's in total abandonment!
