Hoy no tenia planes de salir, pero me anime a caminar un poco y aprovechar de comprar leche que ya se nos había acabado, aproximadamente a las 5:00 PM, la tarde estaba bastante soleada y me preocupaba sudar demasiado ya que últimamente ha hecho mucho calor, sin embargo, para mi sorpresa el clima estaba agradable… Me dieron ganas de tomar algunas fotos rápidas en la calle, me da mucha vergüenza tomar fotos en la calle a veces la gente me mira raro, por que normalmente me encanta fotografiar los arboles y el cielo, por eso las tomo prácticamente improvisadas y muy rápido, esta vez use mi celular nuevo el cual no tiene una cámara muy buena pero que aun asi me gustaron ciertos colores que capte, sobre todo la luz del sol creando ese efecto “bokeh”
I hadn't planned on going out today, but I decided to go for a little walk and take the opportunity to buy some milk since we'd run out. It was around 5:00 PM; the afternoon was pretty sunny, and I was worried about sweating too much since it's been really hot lately. However, to my surprise, the weather was pleasant… I felt like taking a few quick photos on the street. I get really self-conscious taking photos on the street—sometimes people give me strange looks—because I usually love photographing trees and the sky, so I take them almost on the fly and very quickly. This time I used my new cell phone, which doesn’t have a very good camera, but I still liked some of the colors it captured, especially the sunlight creating that “bokeh” effect.
En este lugar hay muchos árboles, por todos lados donde voltees veras arboles y montañas, es muy lindo solo que a veces no le prestamos la suficiente atención a las maravillas que nos rodean, a veces estamos tan encerrados en nuestros propios mundos y problemas que se nos olvida ver mas allá, y a mi siempre me gusta ver todo eso, porque se que algún día lo recordare con nostalgia.
There are lots of trees here; wherever you look, you’ll see trees and mountains. It’s really beautiful, but sometimes we don’t pay enough attention to the wonders around us. Sometimes we’re so caught up in our own worlds and problems that we forget to look beyond them, and I always like to take it all in, because I know that someday I’ll look back on it with nostalgia.
A veces me gustaría que este lugar fuese mas concurrido o tuviese tiendas populares que consigues en cualquier parte de Caracas, Caricuao es un lugar que a veces parece estar atrapado en el tiempo, pero al mismo tiempo aprecio vivir aquí, ya que es un lugar bastante tranquilo, casi nunca pasan cosas malas…
Sometimes I wish this place were busier or had the popular stores you find all over Caracas. Caricuao is a place that sometimes seems stuck in time, but at the same time, I appreciate living here because it’s a pretty peaceful place—bad things almost never happen here...
Y tambien tenemos muchísimos gatos en las calles, parece una mini Turquía jaja, en mi edificio hay muchísimos gatitos de todos los colores y aquí lo alimentamos entre varios vecinos, incluso hay una gatita llamada “Hermosa” que la conozco desde hace mas de 10 años y es una gatita super cariñosa, hay otros que no se dejan tocar por todo el mundo, solo por ciertas personas… Y otros que siempre te saludan con sus lindos ojos y sus colitas alzándose
And we also have tons of cats on the streets—it’s like a mini-Turkey, haha. In my building, there are tons of kittens of all colors, and several of us neighbors feed them here. There’s even a little cat named “Hermosa” that I’ve known for over 10 years—she’s a super affectionate little cat. There are others who won’t let just anyone touch them, only certain people… And others who always greet you with their cute eyes and their little tails wagging.
