Another dimension

¿Que tal amigos? Yo estoy bastante feliz porque cada día me entusiasma mas crear este tipo de arte, mis últimos dibujos han seguido una temática un poco oscura y no tan realista, esto me llena muchísimo de emoción porque dibujo con mucho amor para ustedes, el día de hoy presento esta obra que fue una idea que vino a mi cabeza y solo necesitaba guiarme de algunas cosas para saber donde dibujar lo elementos que quería para esta ilustración, al principio creí que no podría hacer este espejo ya que realmente su estructura es bastante compleja, pero decidí hacer las cosas con calma y luego de dos noches de trabajo termine esta obra titulada “another dimensión” donde como siempre ustedes pueden dar el significado que prefieran, yo personalmente buscaba reflejar algo de misterio. Nuestro reflejo del lado más oscuro a través del espejo.

I am quite happy because every day I am more excited to create this type of art, my latest drawings have followed a somewhat dark and not so realistic theme, this fills me with a lot of emotion because I draw with a lot of love for you, today I present this work that was an idea that came to my head and I just needed to guide myself from a few things to know where to draw the elements I wanted for this illustration, at first I thought that I could not make this mirror since its structure is really quite complex, but I decided do things calmly and after two nights of work I finished this work entitled "another dimension" where as always you can give the meaning you prefer, I personally wanted to reflect some mystery.

Proceso/Process

Comencé con el boceto que al principio no me convencía, fue muy difícil pintar este espejo, me guie viendo varias fotos de espejos de este estilo por internet y quería seguir su estructura pero fue muy difícil, termine haciendo algunas cosas a mi manera y simplemente dejando formas que moldearía mientras iba pintando, asi que coloque un fondo oscuro para dibujar tranquila y no quedarme ciega con el blanco y comencé a aplicar los colores al rostro de esta chica, decidí usar tonos fríos ya que esta ilustración tendría una iluminación azul, para el espejo quería hacerlo de un material tipo bronce, asi que aplique un color beige como base.

I started with the sketch that at first did not convince me, it was very difficult to paint this mirror, I was guided by seeing several photos of mirrors of this style on the internet and I wanted to follow its structure but it was very difficult, I ended up doing some things my way and just leaving forms that I would mold while I was painting, so I put a dark background to draw calmly and not be blinded by white and I began to apply the colors to the face of this girl, I decided to use cold tones since this illustration would have a blue lighting, for the mirror wanted to make it out of a bronze type material, so I applied a beige color as a base.

Seguí dando forma al rostro de esta chica, pero me tenia muy preocupada el espejo, asi que deje eso por un momento y me enfoque en lo mas difícil, con diferentes tonos tierra logre hacer que este espejo tuviese forma, agregando luces y sombras, me gusto bastante como quedo sin embargo, mas adelante luego de pintar su cabello me di cuenta que no encajaba bien este color bronce, elegí un ajuste de saturación para la capa de este espejo y coloque la saturación en 0, asi quedo un lindo espejo de un color plateado, combinaba mucho mejor con toda la composición del dibujo, fue maravilloso este cambio, el “cristal” del espejo decidí hacerlo como si fuese agua y asi dar un poco mas de surrealismo a este retrato haciendo que ella salga de este misterioso espejo, continue entonces aplicando detalles a su rostro y cabello.

I kept shaping the face of this girl, but I was very worried about the mirror, so I left that for a moment and focused on the most difficult, with different earth tones I managed to make this mirror have a shape, adding lights and shadows, I I quite like how it turned out however, later after painting her hair I realized that this bronze color did not fit well, I chose a saturation setting for the layer of this mirror and set the saturation to 0, so it turned out a nice mirror of a silver color, it combined much better with the entire composition of the drawing, this change was wonderful, the "glass" of the mirror I decided to make it as if it were water and thus give a little more surrealism to this portrait making her come out of this mysterious mirror, Then continue applying details to her face and hair.

En su frente pinte una especie de grieta parecida a un balazo en un vidrio, me encanto este detalle porque se relaciona directamente con el espejo, en diferentes capas agregue mas luces y sombras, también elegi un fondo azul desaturado oscuro y con ayuda de un pincel con textura de acuarela y diferentes tonos de este azul logre hacer un fondo bastante sencillo pero que quedaba muy bien con el resto, finalice entonces aplicando algunos ajustes de color, claridad, saturación al dibujo por completo, esto hizo que todo se viese aun mas llamativo.

On his forehead I painted a kind of crack similar to a bullet in a glass, I loved this detail because it is directly related to the mirror, in different layers I added more lights and shadows, I also chose a dark desaturated blue background and with the help of a brush With a watercolor texture and different shades of this blue, I was able to make a fairly simple background but it went very well with the rest, so I finished by applying some color adjustments, clarity, and saturation to the drawing completely, this made everything look even more striking.

Ame muchísimo este dibujo, desde que tuve esta idea me obsesione mucho con terminarlo y que quedara exactamente asi, de verdad es una emoción muy grande poder recrear lo que veo en mi mente y plasmarlo en este lienzo para compartirlo con ustedes, espero que les haya gustado tanto como a mi. ¡Hasta la próxima!
