Be my Valentine

Muy buenas noches para todos. Hoy me inspire en la celebración del día de los enamorados para hacer un dibujo, no es algo que celebre o me entusiasme mucho, realmente nunca ha sido asi, sin embargo, me gusta mucho la temática en el aspecto artístico que podemos hacer para estas fechas, quería hacer algo bonito, colorido y muy brillante, me pareció buena idea un retrato bastante cerca para resaltar y hacer detalles donde se pueda ver todo un poco mas realista pero con un toque de fantasía al mismo tiempo, quise resaltar mucho los ojos y se me ocurrió hacerlos muy claros, de un tono gris y brillante que aportaría ese toque de fantasía que buscaba en conjunto con algunas nubes rodeando el cuello, se me ocurrió añadir estos corazones al rostro que para mi, son una especie de stikers, estoy muy feliz con este dibujo, realmente me gusto y me recordó mucho a los dibujos que hacia hace dos años mas o menos, espero que les guste.

Today I was inspired by the celebration of Valentine's Day to make a drawing, it is not something that I celebrate or I am very excited about, it has never really been like that, however, I really like the theme in the artistic aspect that we can do for these dates, I wanted to do something nice, colorful and very bright, I thought it was a good idea a portrait close enough to highlight and make details where you can see everything a little more realistic but with a touch of fantasy at the same time, I wanted to highlight a lot the eyes and it occurred to me to make them very clear, of a gray and bright tone that would bring that touch of fantasy that I was looking for together with some clouds surrounding the neck, it occurred to me to add these hearts to the face that for me, are a kind of stikers, I am very happy with this drawing, I really liked it and it reminded me a lot to the drawings that I did two years ago more or less, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Comencé con el boceto, como les comente, quería que este dibujo fuese un retrato completamente amplio, asi que prácticamente tenemos solo el rostro y parte del cuello visible, elegí los colores para trabajar los cuales fueron tonos bastante pálidos y desaturados entre marrones rosas y morados, agregue una nueva capa donde añadí más colores para formar aun mejor el rostro luego comencé a mezclar todo para dejar una piel mas suave, detalle los ojos, labios y nariz.

I started with the sketch, as I told you, I wanted this drawing to be a completely wide portrait, so practically we have only the face and part of the neck visible, I chose the colors to work with which were quite pale and desaturated tones between pinkish browns and purples, I added a new layer where I added more colors to form even better the face then I began to mix everything to leave a softer skin, detail the eyes, lips and nose.

Después de tener listo el rostro, pinte el cabello, en este momento estaba dudando con respecto al color, primero use un tono blanco, quería que su cabello fuese como la luna, pero no me convenció del todo, entonces decidí simplemente usar un color oscuro y coloque un marrón, luego añadí algunas pequeñas iluminaciones en el cabello con un marrón más claro y un morado claro pero bastante sutil, con la opacidad del pincel en 20% para que no fuesen iluminaciones tan exageradas, me di cuenta que no pinto lunares en mis dibujos, no se porque pensé eso en ese momento, pero decidí pintarle un lunar cerca de la boca parecido al que tengo yo, me encanto como se veía, luego aplique mas color en el rostro con una capa en modo de “superponer” y una tonalidad roja casi naranja, luego tome un rojo puro y saturado y comencé a dibujar los corazones en ambas mejillas, ahora llego el momento de darle mas vida al dibujo agregando algunos destellos de luz en ciertas zonas del rostro, para ello cree una capa en modo “pantalla” y empecé a resaltar con puntos de luz alrededor de los ojos, dentro del ojo, nariz, labios etc.

Finalice este dibujo realizando un ajuste de color donde coloque un poco mas de saturación y además añadí mas iluminaciones simulando que la luz de las nubes reflejan en la parte inferior del rostro.

After having the face ready, I painted the hair, at this moment I was hesitating about the color, first I used a white tone, I wanted her hair to be like the moon, but it didn't convince me at all, then I decided to just use a dark color and put a brown, then I added some small illuminations in the hair with a lighter brown and a light purple but quite subtle, with the opacity of the brush in 20% so they were not so exaggerated illuminations, I realized that I don't paint moles in my drawings, I don't know why I thought that at that moment, but I decided to paint a mole dot near the mouth similar to the one I have, I loved how it looked, then I applied more color on the face with a layer in "overlay" mode and a red tone almost orange, then I took a pure and saturated red and began to draw the hearts on both cheeks, now it was time to give more life to the drawing by adding some flashes of light in certain areas of the face, for this I created a layer in "screen" mode and began to highlight with points of light around the eyes, inside the eye, nose, lips etc.

I finished this drawing making a color adjustment where I placed a little more saturation and also added more highlights simulating that the light from the clouds reflect in the lower part of the face.
