Dark witch

Saludos mi querida comunidad, aprovechando un poco mas la temporada quise dibujar un retrato de una bruja con un estilo bastante aesthetic, me gusto la idea de usar tonos rojos vibrantes, quería hacer un retrato algo sencillo y sin hacer la típica bruja de sombrero con nariz enorme, mientras pintaba esto recordé una película que vi hace mucho tiempo y que es una de mis favoritas “The craft” me sentí inspirada por esa película porque me encanta la trama y los personajes, espero que les guste.

Hello my dear community, taking advantage of the season I wanted to draw a portrait of a witch with a quite aesthetic style, I liked the idea of using vibrant red tones, I wanted to make a somewhat simple portrait and without doing the typical witch with a hat with a huge nose, while I was painting this I remembered a movie that I saw a long time ago and that is one of my favorites “The craft” I felt inspired by that movie because I love the movie plot and the characters, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto y realmente no me convencía mucho, pero decidí continuar y confiar en el proceso, cuando comencé a pintar se me ocurrió otra idea pero no me gusto mucho como estaba yendo esa idea asi que la descarte por completo y continue pintando el rostro normalmente, aplique tonos base en su rostro para luego ir difuminándolos y poco a poco formar su rostro, para el cabello, coloque un tono negro de base y pinte sus labios con un rojo oscuro muy llamativo.

I made my sketch and I really wasn't very convinced, but I decided to continue and trust the process, when I started painting another idea occurred to me but I didn't like how that idea was going so I discarded it completely and continued painting the face normally , apply base tones on the face and then blur them and little by little create this cute face, for the hair, place a base black tone and paint the lips with a very striking dark red.

Detalle un poco mas su rostro y agregue unos mechones de cabello rojo, en su frente dibuje una estrella, la realice con una capa de “overlay” y pinte con rojo claro y luego con un rojo oscuro y el pincel de menor tamaño para darle profundidad, quería que luciese como una cortada en forma de estrella, pinte algo de maquillaje y agregue mas luz a sus ojos, para el fondo elegí un tono azul oscuro y jugué con algunas pinceladas y efectos de Photoshop para crear un fondo brillante y en espiral, finalmente aplique algunos ajustes generales a la imagen y cree una capa de sombra para darle un poco mas de oscuridad y borrando una parte para dar una luz tenue en su rostro.

I detailed her face a little more and added some strands of red hair, on her forehead I drew a star, made it with an “overlay” layer and painted with light red and then with a dark red and one smaller brush to give it depth , I wanted it to look like a star cut, I painted some makeup and added more light to her eyes, for the background I chose a dark blue tone and played with some brush strokes and Photoshop effects to create a bright and spiral background, finally apply some general adjustments to the image and create a shadow layer to give it a little more darkness and erasing a part to give a soft light on her face.
