Good evening friends of Holozing! Today I wanted to recreate Forest Healer in a different version, I wanted to try to change his clothes making a little more free style and take this opportunity to make a different material, this time the Forest Healer shirt I wanted to make it in green simulating a leather material, something that personally was a little difficult to achieve and what I'm not used to, but I had this idea in mind and I liked it a lot, I think it came out well at least it looks decent, although I need to practice and polish a little more, at the bottom, I drew a black short pants, I wanted to keep her accessories like the necklace and the headband of branches on the head, and of course, I wanted a background that had colors and nature, so I painted a blue sky and some tree branches and leaves. Hoy quise recrear a Forest Healer en una versión diferente, quería intentar cambiar sus prendas de ropa haciendo un estilo un poco más libre y aprovechar esta oportunidad de hacer un material diferente, en esta ocasión la camisa de Forest Healer la quise realizar en verde simulando un material de cuero, algo que personalmente fue un poco difícil de lograr y a lo que no estoy acostumbrada, pero tenía esta idea en mente y me gustaba muchísimo, creo que salió bien al menos se ve decente, aunque si falta practicar y pulir un poco más, en la parte inferior, dibuje un short corto negro, quise mantener sus accesorios como el collar y la diadema de ramas en la cabeza, y por supuesto, quería un fondo que tuviese colores y naturaleza, asi que pinte un cielo azul y algunas ramas de árboles y hojas.

Process/Proceso

I made the sketch and started to paint the skin, for this I used desaturated orange skin tones and some pinks, in a new layer I added more colors to the skin giving more shape and volume to everything, I also started to add color to the shirt and hair, putting a dark green base in both of them.

Realice el boceto y comencé a pintar la piel, para ello utilicé tonalidades de piel naranjas desaturadas y algunos rosas, en una nueva capa añadí más colores a la piel dándole asi más forma y volumen a todo, empecé tambien a agregar color a la camisa y el cabello, colocando un verde oscuro de base en ambos.

I started mixing the skin tones leaving a softer texture, then I added color to the shorts with a very dark gray tone, I added highlights and shadows to the shorts with black and lighter grays, for the shirt I added some shadows and lights following my instinct and also some reference images of leather textures, it was a quite complicated and confusing process but I did my best, to give more realism to this “leather” fabric I added some points of light with pure white, something I saw a lot in this type of fabric is how it highlight the white in some areas, then I took care of painting the accessories and then move to the background, in which I painted some trees (another texture that I don't practice too much) but it was quite interesting to try it, then I placed a blue sky behind and some falling leaves.

Empecé a mezclar los tonos de la piel dejando una textura más suave, después añadí color al short con un tono gris muy oscuro, agregue iluminaciones al short con negro y grises un poco más claros, para la camisa añadí algunas sombras y luces siguiendo un poco mi instinto y tambien algunas imágenes de referencia de texturas de cuero, fue un proceso bastante complicado y confuso pero hice mi mejor esfuerzo, para darle más realismo a esta tela de “cuero” añadí algunos puntos de luz con blanco puro, algo que vi mucho en este tipo de tela es como resaltan el blanco en algunas zonas, luego me encargue de pintar los accesorios para después pasar al fondo, en el cual pinte algunos árboles (otra textura que tampoco practico demasiado) pero fue bastante interesante intentarlo, luego coloque un cielo azul detrás y algunas hojas cayendo.

With a watercolor texture brush I wanted to add some more leaves, simulating that they are from the tree I drew, as usual, I added a layer of lights where I started to highlight some parts of the face, clothes and background, I finished my drawing by editing the image making a slight color adjustment, increasing a little the saturation.

Con un pincel de textura de acuarela quise añadir algunas hojas más, haciendo simulación de que son del árbol que dibuje, como siempre, añadí una capa de luces donde empecé a resaltar algunas partes del rostro, ropa y fondo, finalice mi dibujo editando la imagen haciendo un leve ajuste de color, aumentando un poco la saturación.
