Growing up is inevitable

En estos últimos meses he notado que mucha ropa que a mi hijo le quedaba enorme ahora le queda super pequeña, es algo que me ha tenido bastante nerviosa estos últimos meses pero que he intentado manejar de la mejor manera posible, en vista de tantos acontecimientos ha sido muy difícil poder comprarle ropa nueva, pero decidí que de ahora en adelante lo hare aunque sea de a poco, cuando cobremos puedo comprar una camisa o un pantalón, y asi ir llenando su closet con cosas nuevas y por supuesto intentando que sean cosas de tallas grandes para que le duren muchísimo.

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that a lot of clothes that used to be way too big for my son are now way too small for him. It’s something that’s had me pretty worried these past few months, but I’ve tried to handle it as best I can. Given everything that’s been going on, it’s been really hard to buy him new clothes, but I’ve decided that from now on I’ll do it, even if it’s just a little at a time. When we get paid, I can buy a shirt or a pair of pants, and that way I can gradually fill his closet with new things—and, of course, I’ll try to make sure they’re in larger sizes so they’ll last him a long time.

Me gustaría hacer una sola compra grande, pero en estos momentos estamos en una situación muy difícil, lo curioso es que actualmente la ropa no es tan costosa como antes, pero ganamos menos dinero ahora, asi que es complicado. La ultima vez que le compre ropa por montones fue hace como un año y medio y gaste solamente $100 recuerdo que lleve muchas cosas y además lo pague a crédito y bueno, ya esa ropa no le queda.

I'd like to make one big purchase, but right now we're in a really tough spot. The funny thing is that clothes aren't as expensive as they used to be, but we're making less money now, so it's complicated. The last time I bought him a bunch of clothes was about a year or a half ago, and I only spent $100. I remember I bought a lot of stuff and paid for it on credit, and well, those clothes don't fit him anymore.

Esta fue la compra que le hice en estos días, una camisa muy linda con estampado y texturas muy divertidas, además brilla en la oscuridad es una tela muy buena y la compre talla 10 y aunque mi hijo es talla 8 le quedo prácticamente justa, pero la próxima vez ya se que debo comprarle talla 12. Esta camisa me costo $15, sé que pude haber conseguido camisas mas económicas que esa pero de menor calidad, y mas sencillas, realmente la ropa en Venezuela no esta tan cara como antes.

This is what I bought for him recently—a really cute shirt with a fun print and textures. It also glows in the dark. The fabric is great quality. I bought a size 10, and even though my son is a size 8, it fits him almost perfectly. But next time, I know I’ll have to get him a size 12. This shirt cost me $15. I know I could have found shirts cheaper than that, but they would have been lower quality and simpler. Clothes in Venezuela really aren’t as expensive as they used to be.

Como siempre, mantendré la calma y tendré paciencia y se que poco a poco podremos lograr comprarle algunas cositas y quitarnos esa preocupación por un tiempo.

As always, I'll stay calm and be patient, and I know that little by little we'll be able to buy him a few little things and put that worry behind us for a while.

your child is growing and those clothes that are now small for him are signs that he is really growing in good health.
