Buenas noches a todos. Hoy continuando un poco con las vibras navideñas, quise realizar un retrato con luces de navidad alrededor, me encanta pintar luces de navidad de colores porque me recuerdan mucho a mi infancia donde estas luces nunca faltaban en ninguna casa y casi siempre las personas usaban de colores en vez de usar un solo tono como lo hacen actualmente, estos colores me traen bastante nostalgia por esas navidades que no fueron perfectas pero que aún asi siguen siendo parte de mi niñez. Espero que les guste.

Good evening everyone.
Today, continuing with the Christmas spirit, I wanted to create a portrait surrounded by Christmas lights. I love painting colorful Christmas lights because they remind me so much of my childhood, when these lights were always present in every home, and people almost always used different colors instead of just one shade like they do now. These colors bring back a lot of nostalgia for those Christmases that weren't perfect but are still a part of my childhood. I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realicé el boceto y comencé a pintar la piel con tonos rosas pálidos y agregue sombras usando marrones, para los labios coloque un color base rojo intenso. En una nueva capa empecé a colocar mas tonos y asi darle mejor forma al rostro, después empecé a mezclar los colores usando un pincel difuso para dejar un resultado suave a la vista, después de que el rostro estuviera completamente formado empecé a pintar las manos.

I made the sketch and started painting the skin with pale pink tones and added shadows using browns. For the lips, I applied a base color of intense red. On a new layer, I began adding more tones to better define the face. Then I started blending the colors using a soft brush to create a smooth effect. After the face was fully formed, I began painting the hands.

Realicé el mismo proceso con las manos hasta dejarlas suaves y realistas y aunque me gustaba mucho los colores que usé, decidí oscurecer todo un poco mas con un tono azulado para que después las luces resaltaran mucho mejor. Tambien pinte el cabello de un tono rojizo (al principio fue azul pero lo cambie) y después pinté las luces, agregue efectos brillantes en zonas del rostro que quería resaltar y tambien en cada luz de navidad, finalice realizando un ajuste de color donde intensifique un poco mas los colores y el contraste de la imagen.

I repeated the same process with the hands until they were smooth and realistic, and although I really liked the colors I used, I decided to darken everything a bit more with a bluish tone so that the highlights would stand out much better. I also painted the hair a reddish tone (it was blue at first, but I changed it) and then painted the highlights. I added shimmering effects to areas of the face I wanted to emphasize and also to each Christmas light. Finally, I made a color adjustment to intensify the colors and contrast of the image.
