Lying on the moon

Buenas noches a todos. Últimamente me he sentido muy inspirada a dibujar con tonalidades frías y tambien inspirarme en elementos del espacio, sobre todo la luna. Esta vez quise realizar un retrato de una mujer recostada sobre una luna hermosa y brillante, este es un dibujo que comencé hace días y de hecho había olvidado hasta que revise mi carpeta de dibujos y me emocione cuando la vi ya que hoy si tenia muchas ganas de relajarme un rato pintando en mi Tablet, lo más difícil fue pintar la luna ya que debia agregar muchísimas luces y sombras de una manera estratégica para que pareciera una luna y no solo un circulo brillante y creo que lo logre, espero que les guste.

Good evening, everyone.
Lately, I've been feeling very inspired to draw with cool tones and also draw inspiration from elements of space, especially the moon. This time, I wanted to create a portrait of a woman reclining on a beautiful bright moon. This is a drawing I started days ago and had actually forgotten about until I looked through my drawing folder and got excited when I saw it, since today I really wanted to relax for a while painting on my tablet. The most difficult part was painting the moon, as I had to add lots of lights and shadows in a strategic way to make it look like a moon and not just a bright circle, and I think I succeeded. I hope you like it..

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto y comencé a pintar con la paleta de colores que elegí en esta oportunidad, los cuales son tonos lila, azules y algunos morados, en una nueva capa agregue mas colores dándole mejor forma a la estructura del rostro, se me hizo un poico difícil por la posición inclinada en la que dibuje el boceto, pero lucia bien, luego empecé a mezclar los colores dejando una piel con una textura leve, tambien pinte las cejas y pestañas.

I made the sketch and started painting with the color palette I chose this time, which are shades of lilac, blue, and some purple. On a new layer, I added more colors to better shape the structure of the face. It was a little difficult because of the slanted position in which I drew the sketch, but it looked good. Then I started to mix the colors, leaving the skin with a slight texture. I also painted the eyebrows and eyelashes.

Cambie el fondo a un color azul oscuro y luego pinte el cabello igualmente de azul pero de tonos más saturados y claros, ahora… A pintar la silueta de la luna con un color gris de base, realmente quería hacer la luna del color real pero lo intente y quedo mal, asi que decidí hacer la luna según la paleta de colores que había elegido para la piel, comencé a realizar manchas con azules claros y azules oscuros desaturados.

Change the background to a dark blue color and then paint the hair the same blue but with more saturated and lighter tones. Now... Paint the silhouette of the moon with a gray base color. I really wanted to make the moon the actual color, but I tried it and it didn't look right, so I decided to make the moon according to the color palette I had chosen for the skin. I started making spots with light blues and desaturated dark blues.

Añadí más colores a la luna y me estaba confundiendo bastante asi que busque imágenes de referencia en Google y pude guiarme mejor para ubicar las manchas de una manera mas lógica, finalmente la luna quedo muy bien y luego empecé a agregar luces, yo quería que esta luna brillara asi que jugué un poco con los efectos de capa hasta lograr ese brillo que buscaba, tambien añadí reflejos de luz en los ojos, nariz, rostro y cabello. Para finalizar dibuje algunos puntos en el fondo simulando estrellas y tambien realice un ajuste de color a toda la imagen dándole una tonalidad aún más fría.

I added more colors to the moon and was getting quite confused, so I searched for reference images on Google and was able to better guide myself to place the spots in a more logical way. Finally, the moon looked great, and then I started adding lights. I wanted this moon to shine, so I played around with the layer effects until I achieved the brightness I was looking for. I also added light reflections to the eyes, nose, face, and hair. To finish, I drew some dots in the background to simulate stars and also adjusted the color of the entire image, giving it an even cooler tone.
