My fist time using Midjourney

En estos últimos años y específicamente estos últimos meses, el arte ha llegado a niveles impresionantes, no solo podemos crear arte en digital, en 3d sino que ahora también contamos con herramientas como la IA, he estado bastante curiosa sobre el tema ya que he visto que muchos han reemplazado el arte digital o tradicional con estas nuevas obras, en este post les contare mi punto de vista, experiencia y además compartiré algunas imágenes muy curiosas que logre hacer con esta IA llamada Midjourney.

In recent years and specifically in recent months, art has reached impressive levels, not only can we create digital art, in 3d, but now we also have tools such as AI, I have been quite curious about the subject since I have seen that many have replaced digital or traditional art with these new works, in this post I will tell you my point of view, experience and I will also share some very curious images that I managed to make with this AI called Midjourney.

Primera obra que realice en Midjourney, puse la frase "chica vestida de rojo caminando hacia el cielo con nostalgia"

Esta imagen que use de portada específicamente es la que mas me gusto, quede bastante impresionada con todo lo que se puede hacer usando inteligencia artificial, horas de trabajo resumidas en solo segundos y aquí es donde tengo sentimientos encontrados, pues es maravilloso tener este tipo de herramientas pero a la vez pienso en todo el tiempo que dedique en aprender a dibujar, en todo lo que sigo aprendiendo hasta el dia de hoy y me siento un poco frustrada, sobre todo en el mundo del arte NFT donde se ven muchísimas obras hechas con IA, realmente es un poco humillante para alguien que tuvo años aprendiendo a dibujar o quizás solo yo lo percibo así, sin embargo, puedo verlo también desde el lado bueno y es que estamos avanzando tan rápido que jamás habríamos pensado que algo así existiría y que incluso puede servirnos como referencias para hacer otros dibujos, o utilizarlos a la par con los dibujos en digital, quizás usarlos como fondo para nuestras ilustraciones o simplemente dibujar sobre ellas para tener el resultado exacto que buscamos.

This image that I used for the cover specifically is the one that I liked the most, I was quite impressed with everything that can be done using artificial intelligence, hours of work summarized in just seconds and this is where I have mixed feelings, because it is wonderful to have this type of tools but at the same time I think about all the time I spent learning to draw, about everything I continue to learn to this day and I feel a little frustrated, especially in the world of NFT art where you see a lot of works made with AI, it really is a bit humiliating for someone who spent years learning to draw or perhaps only I perceive it that way, however, I can also see it from the good side and it is that we are advancing so fast that we would never have thought that something like this would exist and that it can even serve as references to make other drawings, or use them alongside digital drawings, perhaps use them as a background for our illustrations or simply draw on them to get the exact result we are looking for.

Aunque la IA aun no es muy exacta debo decir que me gusto bastante midjourney, siento que se acerca bastante a lo que imagino, probe diferentes cosas, en esta fotografía puse “hilo rojo del amor entre dos personas que no pueden estar juntas”

Although the AI is still not very exact, I must say that I quite liked midjourney, I feel that it is quite close to what I imagine, I tried different things, in this photograph I put "red thread of love between two people who cannot be together".

”El temor mas grande del mundo” este fue el texto que escribí y me arrojo esta obra, es una de las que mas me gusta porque realmente me dio un poco de miedo aunque no se que es, es curioso como representa las cosas con solo textos, posiblemente en un futuro utilice estas imágenes para pintar sobre ellas y agregarle mi estilo, por ahora creo que seguiré dibujando como siempre, porque no quiero unirme por completo a la fiebre de la IA.

"The greatest fear in the world" this was the text that I wrote and I threw this work at me, it is one of the ones that I like the most because it really scared me a little although I do not know what it is, it is curious how it represents things with only texts, possibly in the future I will use these images to paint over them and add my style, for now I think I will continue drawing as usual, because I do not want to fully join the AI fever.

Aun los rostros tienen varios defectos sobre todo en la nariz y algunos rasgos faciales, pero se pueden arreglar fácilmente, como mencione es una herramienta sumamente interesante con la que puedes experimentar y en mi caso fusionar el arte digital con IA.

Even the faces have several defects, especially in the nose and some facial features, but they can be easily fixed, as I mentioned, it is an extremely interesting tool with which you can experiment and in my case merge digital art with AI.

Tómalo como una herramienta más. Lo que has aprendido en arte nadie te lo va a quitar y, en realidad, te da ventaja. En arte tradicional también ha habido mucho abuso comercial de obras en las que ni había sensibilidad artística, ni verdadero mensaje, ni esfuerzo creativo.

Yo he estado usando Midjurney estos días como semilla para mis propias acuarelas. Le pido que me haga acuarelas de tal o cual manera, y cuando me gusta el resultado, las tomo como referencia para pintarlas en mi estudio a la manera tradicional y con mi propio estilo. Y usé las nuevas funciones de Dall-e para cargar mis propias obras e introducirle elementos nuevos, ¡copiando mi propio estilo! A ver si las puedo compartir pronto por aquí.

Si en eso estoy pensando! Una herramienta más, pero si me inquieta un poco ver que a veces se deja de lado el arte que hacemos aún muchos, pero de verdad que sí funciona bastante bien como una herramienta extra 😁

Great work with these images. Tools such as this used by real, trained artists will be better in their hands than the hands of the general public. There’s a certain knowledge of composition, colour, and other factors you need to know in order to curate the work generated by the AI to make to present the best possible outcome.

Thank you! You are right, I have seen people who do not have any knowledge doing tests and they do not really have a "good" result
