Ocean Healer and MIU playing HOLOZING on Nintendo NES

Good evening to all the Holozing community! Today I want to share something totally different, very out of my comfort zone but I had to try because when I had this idea I was very excited, then I want to tell you a little of the whole process of this Fan art, a very long process and which I hesitated a lot in carrying out, because It had many details that usually i do not draw and in that you may notice some imperfections in the structures of things in the room, they are not perfect but I really tried hard to capture my idea to share with you.

A few days ago I was playing video games with my son on TV, he was very happy because he loves to play, that made me remember my childhood, I remembered those days playing Mario Bross with my mom, on a Playstation NES, the only game console I had in my childhood and that gave me very happy moments with my family.

Thanks to that nostalgic thought a drawing came to my mind, I thought of making some character or creature of Holozing playing precisely on a Nintendo NES, with a little "vintage" atmosphere, little by little I was putting together a kind of puzzle in my mind to better understand the idea I had, it was not easy at all, since I don't usually do this kind of drawings with ambience, I think that until now I had never drawn a room almost complete, plus a character sitting on her back, it was quite complicated and even was about to discard that idea, but I really wanted to see how it was because I thought it was something nice, full of nostalgia (at least for me) and different.

¡Buenas noches a toda la comunidad de Holozing!
Hoy quiero compartir algo totalmente diferente, muy fuera de mi zona de confort pero que debía intentar porque cuando tuve esta idea me emocione mucho, a continuación, quiero contarles un poco del proceso completo de este Fan art, un proceso bastante largo y el cual dude muchísimo en llevar a cabo, pues tenía muchos detalles que normalmente no suelo dibujar y en eso quizás se den cuenta por algunas imperfecciones en las estructuras de las cosas que hay en la habitación, no son perfectas pero realmente me esforcé mucho en plasmar mi idea para compartirla con ustedes.

Hace unos días estaba jugando video juegos con mi hijo en la tv, él estaba muy contento ya que le encanta que juguemos, eso me hizo recordar mi infancia, recordé aquellos días jugando Mario Bross con mi mama, en una Playstation NES, la única consola de juegos que tuve en mi infancia y que me brindo momentos muy alegres en familia.
Gracias a ese pensamiento nostálgico se me vino a la mente un dibujo, pensé en hacer a algún personaje o criatura de Holozing jugando precisamente en un Nintendo NES, con un poco de ambientación algo “vintage” poco a poco fui armando una especie de rompecabezas en la mente para poder entender mejor la idea que tenía, no fue nada sencillo, ya que no suelo hacer este tipo de dibujos con ambientación, es decir, creo que hasta ahora jamás había dibujado una habitación casi completa, además de un personaje sentado de espaldas, fue bastante complicado e incluso estuvo a punto de descartar esa idea, pero tenía muchas ganas de ver como quedaba ya que me pareció algo bonito, lleno de nostalgia (al menos para mi) y diferente.

Process/Proceso

I started with this project two days ago, at the end I chose to draw Ocean Healer playing with MIU, the first day was a torture to make the sketch, the truth is everything was very confusing, I'm not used to make so many lines, but I had no idea how to make correctly a body from the back, so I tried to understand everything from very irregular lines and many failed attempts, after having this "sketch" I started placing colors in the background to guide me about the light and the atmosphere of this room, I chose to work with many purple, pink and blue tones, I left a kind of window that would be my light source with a very light lilac tone. Then I started to fill with color the objects of the room, like the table and the TV, I started to fill with color also the main characters, MIU cost me a lot more than Ocean Healer, because I didn't like the shape I put to MIU in the sketch, at the end I decided to draw a new shape without the tail because I really tried to paint the tail and I didn't like it.

Comencé con este proyecto hace dos días, al final elegí dibujar a Ocean Healer jugando junto a MIU, el primer día fue una tortura hacer el boceto, la verdad todo fue muy confuso, no estoy acostumbrada a hacer tantas líneas, pero no tenía idea de cómo hacer correctamente un cuerpo de espaldas, asi que intente entender todo a partir de líneas muy irregulares y muchos intentos fallidos, luego de tener este “boceto” empecé colocando colores en el fondo para guiarme sobre la luz y la ambientación de esta habitación, elegí trabajar con muchos tonos morados, rosas y azules, deje una especie de ventana que sería mi fuente de luz con un tono lila muy claro.
Luego empecé a rellenar con color los objetos de la habitación, como la mesa y el televisor, empecé a rellenar con color también a los personajes principales, MIU me costó muchísimo más que Ocean Healer, ya que no me gusto la forma que le puse a MIU en el boceto, al final decidí dibujar una forma nueva sin cola porque realmente intente pintar la cola y no me gusto.

After filling everything with color, I started to give details starting with the walls and the floor, I can't count the amount of layers I used for this, at the end I joined them all to not get so confused but it was terrible hahaha, I drew some lines on the wall and added lights and shadows, on the floor I started to add more colors and mix everything to give a softer texture to the floor, then I painted a pink curtain on the window and it occurred to me to add a kind of showcase hanging from the wall where later I would place some "stuffed animals" of Water whale, grass racoon and electric rabbit, this was not in the sketch but I saw this wall space very empty and it gave me some anxiety, then I thought of making these stuffed animals on the showcase, then I wanted to add a kind of poster and I thought of placing one of my last fan art I made for Holozing, this of Forest Healer is one of my favorites and I decided to place it there also as decoration.

Now I had to start detailing the other objects, continue with the table and the TV, I started to play with dark and light tones until I got the result I wanted.

Después de rellenar todo con color, empecé a dar detalles comenzando por las paredes y el piso, no puedo contar la cantidad de capas que use para esto, al final las uní todas para no confundirme tanto pero fue terrible jajaja, dibuje algunas líneas en la pared y agregue luces y sombras, en el piso empecé a añadir más colores y a mezclar todo para darle una textura más suave al suelo, después pinte una cortina rosa en la ventana y se me ocurrió añadir una especie de vitrina colgada de la pared donde más adelante colocaría algunos “peluches” de Water whale, grass racoon y electric rabbit, esto no estaba en el boceto pero veía este espacio de la pared muy vacía y me daba algo de ansiedad, entonces se me ocurrió hacer estos peluches sobre la vitrina, después quise añadir una especie de poster y pensé en colocar uno de mis últimos fan art que realice para Holozing, este de Forest Healer es uno de mis favoritos y decidí colocarlo allí también como decoración.

Ahora sí, tenía que empezar a detallar los demás objetos, continue con la mesa y el televisor, empecé a jugar con tonos oscuros y claros hasta obtener el resultado que quería.

I finished painting the tv and then I painted the Nintendo NES console, it was quite complicated to paint this console, because I had to place it in a position where the perspective was correct, I really don't know if it was good but I liked it, then I painted the Nintendo controller, obviously I looked for images of this console to guide me and paint it as similar as possible, after having all this environment ready, it was time to start painting Ocean Healer, this time I tried to make her wardrobe similar but at the same time very different, I turned the cape into this kind of sweater, keeping the turquoise lines and the Ocean Healer logo, I painted a dark blue shorts and then I painted better the skin giving it a better finish, the hands were quite complicated, don't zoom in because they look ugly up close lol.

I painted the hair with different shades of blue, light and dark, I didn't really want such a bright color.

Termine de pintar el tv y luego pinte la consola de Nintendo NES, fue algo bastante complicado pintar esta consola, pues tenía que colocarla en una posición donde la perspectiva fuese correcta, realmente no se si quedo bien pero me gusto, después pinte el control del Nintendo, obviamente busque imágenes de esta consola para guiarme y pintarla lo más parecida posible, después de tener todo este ambiente listo, fue el momento de comenzar a pintar a Ocean Healer, esta vez intente hacer su vestuario parecido pero a la vez muy diferente, convertí la capa en esta especie de suéter, manteniendo las líneas turquesa y el logotipo de Ocean Healer, pinte un short de azul oscuro y luego pinte mejor la piel dándole un mejor acabado, las manos fueron bastante complicadas, no le hagan zoom porque se ven feas de cerca lol.
Pinte el cabello con diferentes tonos azules, claros y oscuros, no quería un color tan brillante en realidad.

Then I painted MIU and a very important detail that almost escaped me was to place wires to the NINTENDO controller hahaha, luckily I felt that something was missing and I fixed it, obviously I was not going to leave the TV with a color as sad as the one I put as a base, so I started to design this kind of screen with holographic tones and then I placed the word Holozing, as if the game was starting, for these letters I downloaded a vintage font letters that have this pixelated finish, I wanted to paint some bright balls decorating the top of the ceiling and then I added a layer of lights and began to illuminate some areas that needed a slight brightness, I finished the drawing editing it giving it a little cooler tone with blues and pinks besides intensifying a little saturation and contrast.

Luego pinte a MIU y un detalle muy importante que casi se me escapa era colocarle cables al control del NINTENDO jajaja, por suerte sentí que faltaba algo y lo arregle, obviamente no iba a dejar el TV con un color tan triste como el que puse de base, asi que empecé a diseñar esta especie de pantalla con tonos holográficos y luego coloque la palabra Holozing, como si el juego estuviese iniciando, para estas letras descargue una fuente de letras vintage que tienen este acabado pixelado, quise pintar unas bolitas brillantes decoración la parte superior del techo y luego añadí una capa de luces y comencé a iluminar algunas zonas que necesitaban un ligero brillo, termine el dibujo editándolo dándole una tonalidad un poco mas fría con azules y rosas además de intensificar un poco la saturación y el contraste.

I felt very happy doing this drawing despite how difficult and challenging it was, because I felt like when I was a child, maybe because of the memory that led me to this idea or maybe because I was doing something very different from what I usually do as when I used to draw as a child and paint houses and rooms, it was something that I did a lot and that distracted me a lot. Me sentí muy contenta haciendo este dibujo a pesar de lo difícil y desafiante que fue, porque me sentí como cuando era niña, quizás por el recuerdo que me llevo a esta idea o quizás porque estaba haciendo algo muy diferente a lo que suelo hacer como cuando dibujaba de pequeña y pintaba casas y habitaciones, era algo que hacía mucho y que me distraía bastante.

What a great inspiration to create an art piece from the nostalgic feeling of childhood. We all love to play when we were kids but until now we still love to play games. It just have a plus responsibilities in life lol but never forget to have fun sometime✨ Holomazingly done!✨

Por Dios pero que belleza, la inspiración de tu dibujo me lleno de tanta nostalgia, de echo también fue la única consola que tuve de pequeña, y Mario bros fue uno de los juegos que mas disfrute.

Que dibujo tan hermoso creaste lleno de detalles, historia y nostalgias, y adecuado a este juego tan prometedor, que genial y gran creatividad mi bella.
