Orange day

Saludos chicos. Aprovechando el fin de semana que es donde mas tiempo libre tengo decidí dibujar, anoche comencé, un retrato donde quería pintar el cielo de fondo, esta vez de tonalidades naranjas, realmente no quise darle tantos detalles a este dibujo, ya que desde el principio era una idea que no me parecía tan llamativa pero a la vez he estado bajo mucha presión y me ha costado pensar en otra idea que podría sustituir a esta, intente hacerlo lo mas decente posible, aunque algunas cosas no salieron como lo esperaba, recién acabo de terminarlo y ha sido bastante agotador a pesar de ser un trabajo mas sencillo de lo que estoy acostumbrada. Espero que les guste.

Taking advantage of the weekend which is where I have more free time I decided to draw, last night I started, a portrait where I wanted to paint the sky in the background, this time in orange tones, I really did not want to give so many details to this drawing, since from the beginning it was an idea that didn't seem so striking but at the same time I've been under a lot of pressure and it was hard for me to think of another idea that could replace this one, I tried to make it as decent as possible, although some things didn't come out as I expected, I just finished it and it has been quite exhausting despite being a simpler work than I'm used to.

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto y luego comencé a aplicar los colores en la piel, utilice muchos tonos cálidos entre naranjas, marrones y rosas, agregue otra capa donde coloque mas colores para terminar de formar por completo la figura, también pinte el cabello con el color base que esta vez elegí un rojo oscuro, quería que el cabello combinara con los ojos que también pinte de rojo, luego empecé a mezclar los colores creando una piel con menos textura pero sin exagerar pues quería mantener algo de textura, luego empecé a añadir iluminaciones en el cabello con un rojo mas claro.

I made the sketch and then I started to apply the colors on the skin, I used many warm tones between oranges, browns and pinks, I added another layer where I put more colors to finish forming completely the figure, I also painted the hair with the base color that this time I chose a dark red, I wanted the hair to combine with the eyes that I also painted red, then I started to mix the colors creating a skin with less texture but without exaggerating because I wanted to keep some texture, then I started to add highlights in the hair with a lighter red.

Agregue más detalles al cabello y luego cambie el fondo a un tono naranja desaturado, luego añadí unas nubes y después agregue una capa de luces donde resalte los ojos, nariz y boca, sentía que faltaba algo mas de textura en este dibujo asi que luego empecé a utilizar la herramienta de “dedo” configurando un pincel con textura y asi lograr mezclar un poco el fondo con el retrato y dándole asi mas apariencia de pintura. Tambien realice una edición leve oscureciendo un poco más la imagen y bajando la saturación solo un poco.

I added more details to the hair and then I changed the background to a desaturated orange tone, then I added some clouds and then I added a layer of lights where I highlighted the eyes, nose and mouth, I felt that some more texture was missing in this drawing so then I started to use the "finger" tool setting up a brush with texture to blend a little bit the background with the portrait and giving it more of a painted look.
I also made a slight edit by darkening the image a little more and lowering the saturation just a little bit.
