¡Buenas noches Aliens! El día de hoy estoy muy contenta de compartir con ustedes este nuevo retrato donde quise aplicar una mezcla de colores que esta fuera de mi zona de confort, aunque este tipo de dibujo colorido y con combinaciones poco comunes los he realizado antes, no es algo usual para mi ya que a mi parecer la dificultad es bastante elevada, pues hay que saber muy bien donde colocar los colores para que, aun haciendo una mezcla de diferentes tonos pueda lucir bien, realmente estoy muy satisfecha con este dibujo, se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos aunque este estilo sea colorido continuo manteniendo mi estilo al pintar y dándole ese punto de dramatismo que me encanta, también por primera vez intente dibujar ropa con lentejuelas, eso no salió tan bien como esperaba pero tampoco tan mal como pensé que quedaría al principio, espero que les guste.

Good evening Aliens! Today I am very happy to share with you this new portrait where I wanted to apply a mixture of colors that is out of my comfort zone, although this type of colorful drawing and unusual combinations I have done before, it is not something usual for me because in my opinion the difficulty is quite high, because you have to know very well where to place the colors so that, even doing a mixture of different shades can look good, I am really very satisfied with this drawing, it has become one of my favorites although this style is colorful I continue keeping my style when painting and giving it that point of dramatism that I love, also for the first time I tried to draw clothes with sequins, it didn't come out as well as I expected but not as bad as I thought it would be at the beginning, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto y ya tenia miedo, la verdad estaba pensando como poder pintar correctamente el rostro y sobre todo la mano, en el boceto dibuje un lazo en la parte trasera del cabello al final olvide pintar el lazo y a penas me doy cuenta en este preciso momento jajaja, en fin, luego elegí los colores a trabajar, empecé rellenando con un verde oliva desaturado, luego comencé a rellenar con diferentes tonos empezando alrededor de los ojos con azules, naranjas, amarillos y rosas, después empecé a aplicar colores en el pecho, cuello y manos, en una nueva capa agregue aun mas tonos para darle mejor forma al rostro, después empecé a mezclar todos estos colores para dejar el rostro suave pero aun manteniendo algo de textura, comencé a pintar el cabello también, que al principio seria verde pero mas adelante cambie de parecer.

I made the sketch and I was already afraid, the truth was thinking how to paint correctly the face and especially the hand, in the sketch I drew a bow in the back of the hair at the end I forgot to paint the bow and I barely realize at this precise moment hahaha, anyway, then I chose the colors to work, I started filling with a desaturated olive green, then I started to fill with different tones starting around the eyes with blues, oranges, yellows and pinks, then I started to apply colors on the chest, neck and hands, in a new layer I added even more tones to give a better shape to the face, then I started to mix all these colors to leave the face soft but still keeping some texture, I started to paint the hair too, at first it would be green but later I changed my mind.

Empecé a darle mejor forma al pecho y las manos, fue un trabajo duro poder conseguir un buen acabado en las manos, sentía que se veía extraño al principio pero poco apoco lo arregle, después decidí cambiar el color de cabello, preferí utilizar azul y rosa, empecé a aplicar rosa en los bordes para simular una luz y azul en frente, variando entre azul oscuro y claro para crear los mechones de cabello y hacerlo más realista, después se me ocurrió añadir algo que no estaba en el boceto, decidí pintar ropa, esta ropa comenzó con un azul oscuro de base y luego empecé a rellenar con varios puntos medianos de diferentes colores, quería simular lentejuelas, para darle un mejor acabado agregue luces a las lentejuelas.

I started to give better shape to the chest and hands, it was a hard work to get a good finish on the hands, I felt it looked strange at first but little by little I fixed it, then I decided to change the hair color, I preferred to use blue and pink, I started to apply pink on the edges to simulate a light and blue in front, varying between dark and light blue to create the locks of hair and make it more realistic, then I decided to add something that was not in the sketch, I decided to paint clothes, this clothes started with a dark blue base and then I started to fill with several medium dots of different colors, I wanted to simulate sequins, to give it a better finish I added lights to the sequins.

Después de pintar la ropa pinte el fondo con un azul oscuro, luego agregue una luz rosa en todo el centro, también como siempre, agregue una capa de luces para poder iluminar diferentes partes del rostro, finalice el dibujo editando la imagen haciendo que los colores fueran aun mas intensos y añadiendo un desenfoque en los bordes del rostro.

After painting the clothes I painted the background with a dark blue, then I added a pink light in the center, also as always, I added a layer of lights to illuminate different parts of the face, I finished the drawing editing the image making the colors even more intense and adding a blur on the edges of the face.

We use the same graphic tablet but I'll never be able to reproduce something like this sadly ☹️ You are so talented and your work is so beautiful!!!

To be honest I thought it was very difficult to do anything with this tablet, but with time I realized that definitely no one need an expensive tablet, practice helps a lot
