Hola amigos, hoy quiero compartir algo en lo que estuve trabajando el día de ayer y parte de hoy, se trata de una maqueta de la “Colonia Tovar” la maestra de mi hijo nos mando a hacer estas maquetas para el día miércoles y como sabía que me llevaría bastante tiempo y trabajo, me puse manos a la obra, mi hijo ayudo en cosas pequeñas pues fue un trabajo bastante difícil y use mucho la pistola de silicón, preferí hacerlo ver mas que interactuar porque el es muy hiperactivo y tenia miedo que se quemara, como he dicho muchas veces soy malísima para las manualidades pero intento hacer lo mejor cuando se trata de un trabajo escolar, es mi manera de rectificar las horribles maquetas que entregaba cuando yo estaba en la escuela jajaja, créanme que no pienso que quedo perfecta pero si se que esta genial para lo que imagine que saldría, pues a veces soy muy desastrosa con estas cosas.
Hello friends, today I want to share something I was working on yesterday and part of today, it is a model of the "Colonia Tovar" my son's teacher sent us to make these models for Wednesday and as I knew it would take me a lot of time and work, I got down to work, my son helped in small things because it was a very difficult job and I used a lot the silicone gun, I preferred to make him see more than interact because he is very hyperactive and I was afraid he would get burned, as I have said many times I suck at crafts but I try to do my best when we talk about school work, it is my way of rectifying the horrible models that I made when I was in school hahaha, believe me I do not think it is perfect but I know it is great for what I imagined it would look like, because sometimes I am very disastrous with these things.
Para ponerlos un poco en contexto la Colonia Tovar es un lugar maravilloso ubicado en el estado Aragua de Venezuela, este lugar tiene influencias alemanas, cuenta con una variedad de gastronomía, es un paraíso para mí, cada vez que estoy allí siento que salgo de Venezuela, he tenido la oportunidad de visitarlo y realmente es un lugar único, tiene hoteles hermosos una vista extraordinaria, comida deliciosa y diferentes lugares preciosos para tomar fotografías, las estructuras que conseguimos en la Colonia Tovar tienen un diseño bastante peculiar y según entiendo es un diseño alemán, este hace que este lugar sea reconocido rápidamente pues es único, para poder hacer esta maqueta me inspire en todos esos recuerdos que vivi en ese hermoso paraíso y tomé una de las fotos que capture hace algunos años atrás para guiarme de las estructuras y poder comenzar a trabajar.
To put some context, Colonia Tovar is a wonderful place located in the Aragua state of Venezuela, this place has German influences, has a variety of cuisine, is a paradise for me, every time I'm there I feel like I leave Venezuela, I have had the opportunity to visit and it really is a unique place, has beautiful hotels an extraordinary view, delicious food and different beautiful places to take pictures, The structures that we see in Colonia Tovar have a very peculiar design and as I understand it is a German design, this makes this place to be recognized quickly because it is unique, to make this model I was inspired by all those memories that I lived in that beautiful paradise and I took one of the photos that I captured some years ago to guide me of the structures and to start working.
Proceso/Process
Para esta maqueta utilice únicamente cartón, pinturas al frio, silicón caliente, tijeras, lápiz, regla, una botella de refresco.
Con la ayuda de la regla y el lápiz comencé haciendo la figura de una casa en la caja de cartón y recortándola, utilice este mismo molde para hacer una figura igual y asi tener la parte delantera y trasera de la casa.
For this model I used only cardboard, cold paints, hot silicone, scissors, pencil, ruler, a soda bottle.
With the help of the ruler and the pencil I started by making the figure of a house in the cardboard box and cutting it out, I used this same mold to make the same figure and thus have the front and back of the house.
Recorte dos cuadrados que colocaría en los laterales de la casa, y medí el techo y recorte otro pedazo de cartón que uniría el techo, separe las piezas para comenzar a pintarlas antes de pegarlas.
I cut out two squares that I would place on the sides of the house, and I measured the roof and cut out another piece of cardboard that would join the roof, I separated the pieces to start painting them before gluing them together.
Corté un fino pedazo de cartón que pinte de marrón y crearía una separación de piso en la casa, con pintura blanca pinte la fachada de la casa, repetí este proceso con todas las partes que había recortado.
I cut a thin piece of cardboard that I painted brown and would create a floor separation in the house, with white paint I painted the front of the house, I repeated this process with all the parts that I had cut out.
Con un lápiz comencé a darle forma a la casa, colocando las ventanas y puertas que luego pintaría de negro y marrón, lo hice en todas las piezas.
With a pencil I began to shape the house, placing the windows and doors that I would later paint black and brown, I did it in all the pieces.
Rellene cada parte que había hecho con el lápiz, para las líneas de la casa utilice un marcador negro y para las ventanas y puertas use pintura negra y marrón.
Fill in each part i had made with the pencil, for the lines of the house use a black marker and for the windows and doors use black and brown paint.
Con mucha paciencia comencé a pegar cada pieza creando así una casa, ahora solo faltaba pegar el techo, el cual me costó un poco más pues a pesar de haber medido todo igual me quedo algo desigual la parte delantera con la trasera jajaja.
With a lot of patience I began to glue each piece creating a house, now I only needed to glue the roof, which cost me a little more because despite having measured everything I still had some unevenness between the front and the back hahaha.
Para la siguiente estructura básicamente hice lo mismo, fue más difícil pues era una estructura mas alta, llevaba mas trabajo y a partir de aquí no tomé tantas fotos del proceso, pues estaba bastante agobiada porque esto quedara bien jaja.
For the next structure I basically did the same, it was more difficult because it was a taller structure, it took more work and from here on I didn't take so many pictures of the process, because I was quite overwhelmed because this would look good haha.
Termine de pintas todas las líneas, ventanas y agregue un papel trasparenta amarillo en la puerta, venia la parte difícil que era esta especie de “techo” que según vi en las fotos es una semi esfera, con papel no pude hacerla, intente con papel crepe, pero lo veía muy feo parecía una bolsa de basura, asi que se me ocurrió tomar una botella de refresco, y corte la punta usando un cuchillo que calenté en la estufa, la forma esférica que tenia era perfecta pero se me paso un poco el calor y quedo algo deforme, aun asi se veía mejor que las otras opciones que había manejado desde el principio.
I finished painting all the lines, windows and added a yellow transparent paper on the door, then came the difficult part which was this kind of "roof" that as I saw in the pictures is a semi sphere, with paper I could not do it, I tried with crepe paper, but it looked very ugly it looked like a garbage bag, so it occurred to me to take a soda bottle, and cut the tip using a knife that I heated on the stove, the spherical shape was perfect but I I exaggerated a little heat and was a little deformed, even so it looked better than the other options I had handled from the beginning.
Utilice una gran base de cartón y comencé a ubicar las dos estructuras para saber dónde estarían puestas, tome pintura verde y comencé a pintar toda la base, luego con pintura gris y marrón dibuje una especie de camino, hice una especie de cilindros pequeños que simularían macetas que pegue cerca de las estructuras, hice pequeñas flores que fueron lo peor de todo pues recortar esas pequeñas flores y pegarlas era algo bastante difícil, tambien hice una especie de “puesto” donde pegue algunas fresas que también fue un infierno de hacer jajaja.
Pegue cada cosa en su lugar y se me ocurrió unir las banderas de Alemania y Venezuela decorando un poco la maqueta, asi fue como hice dos pequeñas banderas y pegue una en cada lado.
I used a big cardboard base and began to locate the two structures to know where they would be placed, I took green paint and began to paint the entire base, then with gray and brown paint I drew a kind of road, I made a kind of small cylinders that would simulate flowerpots that I glued near the structures, I made small flowers that were the worst of all because cutting these small flowers and gluing them was quite difficult, I also made a kind of "stand" where I glued some strawberries that was also a hell to do hahaha.
I glued each thing in its place and it occurred to me to join the flags of Germany and Venezuela decorating a little the model, that's how I made two small flags and glued one on each side.
Aun siento que faltan muchas cosas mas que representen la Colonia Tovar, me gustaría agregar mas cositas pero se me acabo el cartón, quizás si mañana pueda conseguir más cartón logre agregarle mas detalles a esta maqueta, por ahora estoy contenta con el resultado y a mi hijo le encanto, espero que el pueda conocer este lugar muy pronto.
I still feel that many more things are missing that represent Colonia Tovar, I would like to add more things but I ran out of cardboard, maybe tomorrow if I can get more cardboard I can add more details to this model, for now I am happy with the result and my son loved it, I hope he can know this place very soon.
