Saludos para todos, espero que estén teniendo una buena semana, por mi parte he distraído un poco mi mente pero de vez en cuando aun consigo tiempo para hacer lo que mas amo que es dibujar, en esta oportunidad quería hacer algo semi realista y a la vez con un pequeño toque surrealista, algo que siempre me ha gustado mucho son las velas, la manera en que se derriten y las luces tan interesantes que puedes encontrar en ellas es increíble, por eso hoy he decidido crear un retrato donde un dedo que hace el gesto de “silencio” está hecho de cera, creando asi una pequeña vela en la punta del dedo, para este dibujo quería usar tonos cálidos pero decidí que mejor usaría otros tonos un poco mas desaturados y con tonalidades mas opacas, espero que les guste y me cuenten que les trasmite esta obra.

Greetings to all, I hope you are having a good week, for my part I have distracted my mind a bit but from time to time I still find time to do what I love the most which is drawing, this time I wanted to do something semi realistic and at the same time with a little surreal touch, something that I have always liked a lot are candles, the way they melt and the very interesting lights that you can find in them is incredible, that's why today I decided to create a portrait where a finger making the gesture of "silence" is made of wax, thus creating a small candle on the tip of the finger, for this drawing I wanted to use warm tones but I decided that I would use other tones a little more desaturated and with more opaque tones, I hope you like it and tell me what this work transmits to you.

Proceso/Process

Después de realizar mi boceto elegí los colores que para esta oportunidad serian tonos cálidos pero un poco desaturados, comencé a aplicar los colores en el rostro rellenando cada parte descuidadamente para luego en una nueva capa ir agregando mas tonos y detalles a cada parte del rostro, continue difuminando estos colores entre si para crear una piel difuminada y suave, quería hacer sus ojos con un color azul claro pero luego pensé que seria interesante hacerlos “blancos” pero utilizando tonos mas naturales, comencé colocando un gris de base, y luego aplique tonos rosas y marrones, para el cabello elegí un marrón oscuro.

After making my sketch I chose the colors that for this opportunity would be warm tones but a little desaturated, I began to apply the colors on the face filling each part carelessly and then in a new layer adding more tones and details to each part of the face. I continued blending these colors into each other to create a smooth and soft skin, I wanted to make her eyes a light blue color but then I thought it would be interesting to make them “white” but using more natural tones, I started with a gray base, and then applied shades pinks and browns, for the hair I chose a dark brown.

Añadí más detalles a los ojos con los tonos rosas y marrones, también pinte las pestañas y cejas, me ocupe de darle forma al torso y la mano, esta parte fue bastante difícil pero creo que al menos se nota que es una mano lol, pinte una pequeña vela en su dedo y en esta ocasión quería un cabello un poco mas colorido, asi que comencé a pintar reflejos rosa oscuro en el cabello.

I added more details to the eyes with the pink and brown tones, I also painted the eyelashes and eyebrows, I took care of shaping the torso and the hand, this part was quite difficult but I think at least it looks like a hand lol, I painted a small candle on her finger and this time I wanted a bit more colorful hair, so I started painting dark pink highlights on the hair.

Para crear mas realismo comencé a pintar luces y sombras haciendo resaltar algunas partes del rostro mas que otras, finalmente aplique un ajuste de color a toda la imagen ya que me gusto la idea de crear mas oscuridad y una sombra en el dibujo.

To create more realism I started to paint lights and shadows making some parts of the face stand out more than others, finally I applied a color adjustment to the whole image since I liked the idea of creating more darkness and a shadow in the drawing.
