Hola amigos, feliz fin de semana para todos. Hace poco me sentí inspirada para hacer un retrato con un toque surrealista, esta vez inspirado en el mar y agregue peces y un hermoso cielo de fondo, estos elementos me gustan bastante agregarlos en mis retratos, fue difícil manejar este contraste de colores al pintar la piel, pero esto me gusta porque me ayuda a entender un poco mejor al momento de pintar, este retrato se sumerge por la mitad en el mar y la otra parte esta en el exterior, con una mirada nostálgica, dando ese toque dramático que me gusta.

Recently I felt inspired to make a portrait with a surrealist touch, this time inspired by the sea and I added goldfish and a beautiful sky in the background, I like to add these elements in my portraits, it was difficult to handle this contrast of colors when painting the skin, but I like this because it helps me to understand a little better when painting, this portrait is immersed half in the sea and the other part is outside, with a nostalgic look, giving that dramatic touch that I like.

Proceso/Process

El boceto inicial fue sencillo, pues tenia la idea en mente pero preferí desarrollarla a medida que iba pintando, ahora mi gran problema era pintar la piel con dos tonalidades tan diferentes, hacer este contraste entre fríos y cálidos y entender bien donde ubicar las sombras y luces manejando diferentes tonos, comencé a pintar usando en la parte superior con un rosa pálido y en la parte inferior un azul pálido, en una nueva capa añadí mas colores que darían forma al rostro y pinté el cabello con marrón.

The initial sketch was simple, because I had the idea in mind but I preferred to develop it as I was painting, now my big problem was to paint the skin with two different shades, make this contrast between cold and warm and understand well where to place the shadows and lights using different tones, I began to paint using in the upper part with a pale pink and in the lower part a pale blue, in a new layer I added more colors that would shape the face and painted the hair with brown.

Mezclé los colores hasta tener una piel suave y agregue los pequeños detalles que le dan vida al rostro, con marrón oscuro y claro realice las iluminaciones y sombras en el cabello para darle movimiento y volumen, pinte con un poco de negro y una opacidad de pincel media unas líneas cayendo de los ojos simulando maquillaje que se corrió, en el fondo pinté la mitad de azul para crear el mar, luego agregue el cielo y los peces nadando alrededor, para dar mas textura de agua, pinté usando un pincel con textura y un color blanco esta especie de espuma en el borde del rostro, también pinte algunas pequeñas burbujas en el mar, para terminar el dibujo agregue algunos detalles de luz y un ajuste de color dándole mas intensidad a los colores.

I mixed the colors until I had a smooth skin and added the small details that give life to the face, with dark and light brown I made the highlights and shadows on the hair to give it movement and volume, I painted with a little black and a medium opacity brush some lines falling from the eyes simulating makeup that ran, in the background I painted half of blue to create the sea, then I added the sky and the fish swimming around, to give more water texture, I painted using a textured brush and a white color this kind of foam on the edge of the face, I also painted some small bubbles in the sea, to finish the drawing I added some light details and a color adjustment giving more intensity to the colors.
