Summer sunflower

Hola comunidad, espero que todos están muy bien. Hoy me sentía inspirada para hacer algo con colores diferentes, una paleta de colores que aunque no es mi favorita, si me gusta bastante, pues da esa calidez que a veces buscamos, sin perder mi estilo con una mirada y expresión llena de nostalgia, me sentí cómoda trabajando con este retrato a pesar de que los colores podían llegar a aturdirme un poco, pensé que quizás estas tonalidades quitarían protagonismo a la temática “triste” que suelo utilizar en mis dibujos, pero al contrario, me ayudo muchísimo y quedo bastante bien, me enseño a entender que no solamente los tonos fríos están llenos de esa nostalgia que tanto me gusta reflejar, espero que les guste.

Today I felt inspired to do something with different colors, a color palette that although it is not my favorite, I really like it, because it gives that warmth that sometimes we seek, without losing my style with a look and expression full of nostalgia, I felt comfortable working with this portrait even though the colors could get to stun me a little, I thought that maybe these tones would take away the protagonism of the "sad" theme that I usually use in my drawings, but on the contrary, it helped me a lot and it turned out quite well, it taught me to understand that not only cold tones are full of that nostalgia that I like to reflect so much, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto y seleccioné los tonos a usar, esta vez elegí una gama de tonos verde oliva, amarillo y naranja, comencé colocando este verde oliva de base en todo el rostro, luego creando una nueva capa comencé a rellenar con los otros tonos, dando mucha luz del lado derecho del rostro y del otro lado tonos mas oscuros y verdosos, agregue nuevamente otra capa y comencé a añadir mas tonalidades hasta tener un rostro bastante formado.

I made my sketch and selected the tones to use, this time I chose a range of olive green, yellow and orange tones, I started by placing this olive green as a base all over the face, then creating a new layer I started to fill in with the other tones, giving a lot of light on the right side of the face and on the other side darker and greenish tones, I added another layer and started to add more tones until I had a very well formed face.

Empecé a darle mas forma al rostro mezclando todos estos colores y dejando una piel bastante suave, para el cabello elegí un marrón claro y un marrón oscuro para hacer algunos reflejos y darle movimiento al cabello, me estaba gustando mucho el dibujo, pero quise probar poner los labios mas oscuros y la verdad me encanto este color Vinotinto que le puse pues resalta con el tono de la piel y hace juego con el cabello. Pinte un girasol en el cabello y agregue mas detalles para definir ciertas partes del rostro, también añadí más iluminación en algunas zonas. Estaba terminando mi dibujo y creí que se vería genial con un poco de sombra del lado izquierdo, me gusto la idea hasta este momento, cuando detalle mejor la imagen me di cuenta que no se veía tan bien esta oscuridad, asi que antes de subir este post volví a editar mi dibujo dejándolo sin esa sombra que se veía muy fea.

I started to give more shape to the face mixing all these colors and leaving a quite soft skin, for the hair I chose a light brown and a dark brown to make some highlights and give movement to the hair, I was really liking the drawing, but I wanted to try to make the lips darker and I really loved this wine color that I put on it because it highlights with the skin tone and matches the hair.
I painted a sunflower in the hair and added more details to define certain parts of the face, I also added more lighting in some areas.
I was finishing my drawing and I thought it would look great with a little shadow on the left side, I liked the idea until this moment, when I detailed the image better I realized that it didn't look so good this darkness, so before uploading this post I went back to edit my drawing leaving it without that shadow that looked very ugly.
