Hola comunidad! Hoy estaba de humor para algo dark, así que pensé en hacer un retrato en blanco y negro y poco a poco surgieron ideas para pasar de un retrato sencillo a algo un poco diferente, como les digo, prácticamente todo fue improvisado según iba avanzando con el dibujo, ya que no tenia idea de que hacer realmente que hiciese resaltar este retrato y aunque me costó mucho, me gusto como el resultado final.

Today I was in the mood for something dark, so I thought of doing a portrait in black and white and little by little ideas came up to go from a simple portrait to something a little different, as I say, practically everything was improvised as I was progressing with the drawing, since I had no idea what to do to really make this portrait stand out and although it cost me a lot, I liked the final result.

Proceso/Process

Al principio pensé hacer algo a color pero hace mucho tiempo que no practicaba en blanco y negro, así que tome esa opción, realice mi boceto y comencé a rellenar con un tono gris claro, luego agregue otra variedad de grises oscuros que me ayudarían a guiarme para darle una mejor forma al rostro, en una nueva capa agregue muchísimos mas tonos que luego mezcle con el pincel difuso para darle un aspecto suave a la piel, con gris oscuro pinte el cabello, hasta ahora iba a ser un retrato sencillo, pero realmente sentía que algo faltaba.

At first I thought of doing something in color but it's been a long time since I practiced in black and white, so I took that option, I made my sketch and started to fill with a light gray tone, then I added another variety of dark grays that would help me to guide me to give a better shape to the face, in a new layer I added many more tones that I then mixed with the diffuse brush to give a soft look to the skin, with dark gray I painted the hair, so far it was going to be a simple portrait, but I really felt that something was missing.

Entonces comencé a explorar, intenté hacer líneas en el rostro simétricas pero el pulso no me funcionó muy bien para eso, probablemente con la herramienta de lazo podría hacerlo, pero les soy sincera, odio esa herramienta jajaja. Finalmente explore hacer unas líneas que marcan uno de los ojos, de ahí en adelante se me ocurrieron varias cosas que fui agregando, el cuello lo pinte con negro haciendo esta especie de degradado que se veía super atractivo (al menos para mi) realice algunos puntos sobre las cejas y para el fondo elegí algo con textura rustica sin muchos detalles, los ojos eran hermosos, pero siempre había querido hacer estos ojos negros como si estuviesen tatuados, este tipo de ojo me da miedo pero a la vez me encanta, para termine agregue algunos puntos pequeños negros sobre la piel para simular manchas de salpicaduras, creo que este dibujo seria una excelente referencia para hacerme un maquillaje en el futuro 😂

Then I started to explore, I tried to make symmetrical lines on the face but the pulse didn't work very well for that, probably with the pen tool I could do it, but I'm honest, I hate that tool LOL.
Finally I explored to make some lines that mark one of the eyes, from there on I came up with several things that I was adding, I painted the neck with black making this kind of gradient that looked super attractive (at least for me) I made some dots on the eyebrows and for the background I chose something with a rustic texture without many details, the eyes were beautiful, but I had always wanted to make these black eyes as if they were tattooed, this kind of eye scares me but at the same time I love it, to finish I added some small black dots on the skin to simulate paint splatter, I think this drawing would be an excellent reference to make me a make up in the future 😂.
