Equalizer ruleset

The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

Description:

All units start with the same health, based on the highest health on either team.

Buffs and debuffs are done afterward - this impacts base health.

The Battle Ruleset

Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.
Noxious Fumes: All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.
Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.

This is a high mana ruleset game and only three color is available to play the Life, Water and the Earth Splinters. The Noxious Fumes ruleset is an interesting combination with the Equalizer, because all the monsters on the battlefield are having the same health, so the most important difference between the teams would be the heal abilities. Whoever team would heal the most might win this battle.

My Team Composition

image.png
General Sloan is a four mana Summoner and his ability is to increase all the ranged attack damage of his monsters. He is also a Life Summoner and such that Splinter has a lot of monsters with heal.
image.png
Uriel the Purifier is a very good tank here, beacause he also has the self Heal ability and he has a lot of health, which makes all the monsters on the battlefield copying his health.
image.png
Adelade Brightwing is a support and a damage dealer as well, because she has the Resurrect and Repair ability, which means that she will bring back to life the first monster who will die in my team with only one health. The Repair will restore the most Armor lost in every round.
image.png
The Djinn Renova is also a magic damage dealer, but her most important role is to Heal the most damaged backline monster with her Triage ability.
image.png
The Spirit Hoarder has the same purpose like the Djinn Renova to Heal up my backline monsters to mitigate as much Poison damage as possible in every round. On top of that he has the Blind ability, which will make the enemy melee and ranged monsters to miss their attack by 15%.
image.png
Iziar is one of my best and strongest monster, which I own. He is a gold foil copy and he has the Taunt ability, which will makes him the target for all the enemy monsters and such protecting my other monsters.
image.png
The Pelacor Arbalest is my main damage dealer with his 6 ranged damage per round and I do not need to protect him too much, because he has a lot of health as well.

My strategy was to deal as much as damage possible against the enemy tank and in the mean time try to take advantage of my two Triage monster to reduce the incoming damage.

My opponent choosed the same Splinter like me and he brought Chanseus the Great, because he also has the Triage ability. This battle would be an interesting one to see, which team will have the upper hand over each other.

In the first round not much happened, because both team's monsters has a lot of health, so the Poison did a lot of damage at the end of the first round.

My opponent made a huge huge mistake bringing the Time Mage, beacuse he slowed my team down and that was an important factor for my Uriel to hit their Uriel when he doesn't have any Armor.

His Adelade resurrected his Uriel back and he almost got a full health by the end of the third round. Luckily the same thing happened in the fourth round like before and my Uriel killed his Uriel again, but Chanseus brough him back one more time. 😡

I had a very difficult time to get rid of his main tank and in the mean time my Iziar died as well two times, because Adelade brought him back as well. Iziar has a very interesting ability, which is the Martyr and when he died twice he also buffed two of my monsters who ere next to him making my Pelacor Arbalest to deal 10 damage in every round.

This battle was a very long one, because of the Equalizer, but none of the enemy monsters could resist the huge damage that my Pelacor Arbales dealt.

Do you like Equalizer? Why or why not?

Yes, I love it a lot, because this ruleset makes me to use monsters that I wouldn't use in a normal battle or use new tactics, because I do not really need to worry about the health of my monsters as they all have the same at the beginning of the battle.
