Pelacor Arbalests are armed with powerful crossbows enchanted to fire bolts at extremely long distances. They are trained to wield a crossbow in each hand and can fire both simultaneously with deadly accuracy. Compounded with the Pelacor's excellent eyesight and nimble dexterity, these sharpshooters are extremely useful as snipers on the battlefield.

he Silver Shield Knight backpedaled, parrying blow after blow as the two Venari snarled and swung their swords at him in a savage and ruthless onslaught. He stumbled. Another blow sent him reeling. He fell onto his back.

The Venari leaped upon him, swords raised. He struggled to lift his own sword, but he couldn't fight them both. He was going to die.

The feathered shaft of a bolt slammed into center of each Venaris' chest simultaneously. The pair crumpled in a heap, unseeing eyes staring at the sky.

The Silver Shield Knight squinted into the sun. Above him, a Pelacor Arbalest hovered, his large white wings beating at the air. In each hand, he held an empty crossbow, still aimed at the fallen Venari.

The Stats of Pelacor Arbalest

Pelacor Arbalest is a ranged creature with double strike ability within the Life Splinter. The doube strike abilty means that the monster could attack twice in each and every round. His mana cost is 6, which is not too high, but not too cheap to be able to use in low mana battles. He has low health and speed with only two, but he will damage twice for 2 ranged damage. He is an excellent monster using the summoner of General Sloan, because the General adds one ranged damage to all of his ranged damage monsters.

My Team Composition

image.pngGeneral Sloan is a very good choice amongst the Life summoners, because he gives one ranged attack to all of his monsters. He is perfect to use in a team with ranged attack creatures. His mana cost is 4, which is not the cheapest, but it is well worth for the extra cost.
image.pngThe Chain Golem is the perfect tank with void and shield. He also has high health and armor for this team to sustain the damages as long as he can. He is my favorite tank, because it is not easy to kill this monster. It is best to use him against any attacks, because he is well protected against them. He will get the void ability on level 2.
image.pngThe Soul Fiend is a great creature with zero mana cost. If the Ruleset has a low mana cost he is a great addition to any team. He can take one or more attack from the enemy monsters, depends from the ruleset.
image.pngXenith Archer is a good choice for this team, because the ruleset of this battle is quite low. Her mana cost is just 2, this is very low. General Sloan gives her one more ranged attack.
image.pngVenari Crystalsmith is the perfect healer for every white team. He will heal the tank in every round throughout the battle, and he will benefit the plus one ranged attack damage from General Sloan.
image.pngPelacor Arbalest is a ranged monster with 6 mana cost and he has 2 health only. He has two ranged damage with double strike ability, so he can attack twice in every round. He is an excellent creature beside General Sloan, because he will attack 6 to the enemy tank if he is not missing any of those attacks.
image.pngThe Lone Boatman is a very good creature with 2 armor and snipe ability. He has 5 mana cost and his attack damage is two. General Sloan will increase his attack to three. He will get the repair ability on Level 5, which means that he can give back one lost armor to a monster who lost the most armor in the same turn.

The rules was Holy Protection in this battle and my opponent choose Vera Salacia, because this summoner will neutralize my creatures flying abilities. I don't know why my opponent used this hero, because the ruleset doesn't really justify it.

My enemy thought that it might be enough two mini tank costing only 1 and Djinn Oshannus as the main tank. The Djinn Oshannus is one of my favorite card, because he is not a giant. (His mana cost just 8 and to qualify to be a giant they have to cost above 10 mana. The problem with a giants card are that the giant killer monsters can deal very big damages.) He is very fast with big health and void. He is perfect as a second tank. On second level he will receive the phase ability, which means that the enemy magic attack monsters can miss him as well. On level 3 he will get the forcefield ability, which means if a creature will deal 5 or more damage on the Oshannus he will take only 1. So the Djinn Oshannus is an excellent card, but my Chain Golem on level 2 can counter him.

My opponent brought a lot of magic attack creatures, but they can't damage my tank thanks to his void ability except the Djinn Osannus and Nerissa Tridawn, because they have a bigger magic attack then 1.

I have chosen General Sloan with Chain Golem, because he is very good against magic and physical attack. I picked the Soul Fiend, because in this low mana cost battle there was one empty place left in my backline, so he could take 2 attack from the enemy monsters, thanks to the Holy Protection ruleset. But I didn't needed his help, because my Chain Golem stood firm in the front position.

I brought four ranged attack creature with General Sloan, because the General will increase their ranged attack by one.

The Venari Crystalsmith is the perfect tank healer with ranged attack in this team. He healed a lot on the Chain Golem giving extra time until my damage dealers do their job.

The Pelacor Arbalest, the Lone Boatman and the Xenith Archer could damage down the health of my opponent monsters quickly.
The Pelacor Arbalest has a double strike ability therefore he can attack twice in every round throughout the battle.
The Chain Golem didn't lose any armor, so the Lone Boatman couldn't use his Armorer ability in the battle.

Do you like the Pelacor Arbalest? Why or why not?

Yes, I like him, because this monster has a big damage he can quickly damage down any enemy creatures like the Axemaster or Mitica Headhunter. If I use him with General Sloan, he will get one more damage as well. This is 6 damage against the enemy tank in every round through the battle. He is a perfect card within the Life Splinter.
