Cursed Windeku are nightmarish creatures that live in the deepest and darkest woods. They hunt at night, stalking their prey before attacking with their claws, while their thorn-like horns and natural healing ability provide an excellent defense,. They exude a pungent pheromone that reduces the reaction time of their victims, often allowing the Windeku to begin devouring them before they are dead. While these lifeless creatures may appear animalistic, they are highly intelligent. They have heeded the call put forth by the Lord of Darkness. Their thirst for blood is now focused on the Chaos Legion.

The Stats of the Cursed Windeku

The Cursed Windeku is a rare melee attack monster from the Death Splinter. He has good stats and Thorns ability from level one. His mana cost is six, therefore it is advised to use him in low mana rulesets.

Thorns : When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.

Heal : Restores a portion of the Monster's health each round.

Slow : Reduces the Speed of all enemy Monsters.

image.pngThaddius Brood is a four mana cost summoner within the Death Splinter. He will reduce one magic attack and one health from all of the enemy creatures.
image.pngThe Cursed Slimeball is a common melee attack creature with the Redemption ability from level six. When this creature dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.
image.pngThe Cursed Windeku is a melee attack monster with Thorns ability. He is a very good tank in a low mana ruleset, because he will receive the Heal ability from level five therefore it is not easy to kill this monster.
image.pngThe Revealer is a four mana cost magic attack monster with Stun ability on level one. When he hit his target with Stun the target monster will pass to the next round.
image.pngThe Silent Sha-Vi is a common melee attack creature with Sneak ability on level one. He will attack the last monster in the enemy backline.
image.pngThe Uraeus is an epic melee attack monster with Sneak ability. He will get the Poison ability on level four, which makes him very dangerous to the enemy backline.
image.pngThe Shadowy Presence is an epic creature with Strenghten ability on level three costing only one mana. He gives one health to all friendly monsters.

The Battle Rulesets

Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.
Fire & Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire ability.

This is low mana ruleset and almost every color can play except the Fire.

The Battle

I have chosen a melee attack team with Thaddius Brood, because this ruleset not good for the magic and ranged team. The mana was low therefore the Cursed Windeku was a perfect choice in this situation.

I used the Cursed Slimeball in the first position, so if the enemy kill him, he will cause one damage to all enemy monsters. After that the Cursed Windeku will become the tank with his Thorns and Heal abilities.

My opponent brought Kelya Frendul with a Water melee attack team and Doctor Blight. He was building the strategy on monsters with Poison abilities.

Kelya gives one armor and one speed to all of his friendly creatures.

My strategy was to build a melee attack team with Stun and two sneaker creature with Poison along with Cripple abilities. That is worked out as I expected, even though my opponent choosed a similar tactic with poisonous melee and one magic attacker.

The Cursed Windeku lived long enough as my tank and the Silent Sha-Vi with Cripple ability killed fast their backline.

Do you like the Cursed Windeku? Why or why not?

Yes, I like this card a lot. He is a good choice in the low mana rulesets, because his cost is only six mana and he is very strong against the smaller creatures with low mana cost. When another melee attack monster attacks the Cursed Windeku his Thorns ability does damage back to the attacker. This is more than enough to finish off any kind of melee threat. 🙂

The "sneak" battle was won by "Silent sha-vi" and "Revealer" was able to take control
of the game by applying his "Stun" to the enemy "tanks", a very useful ability.👍👍👍
