Dax knew nothing but a life of luxury since the time he was born. Growing up in a mansion overflowing with the finest of items, his wealthy parents were business and landowners that dominated the competition in the city of Lyveria. Their business was called Paragon Enterprises. An only child, Dax was often left to his own devices as his parents ran their enterprise. Often it felt like the entire mansion was his to do with as he pleased.

When he became old enough, Dax was given his large inheritance to begin his own sect of his family's business, which he called Dax's Consultations. He would be called upon by the wealthy, the greedy, and the powerful to consult for them. He would analyze their business practices, their competition, and provide advice. He became renowned for his success, and was thought of as the “secret ingredient” to any tycoon's business. And because of this, Dax soon became immersed in a world of spoils. He lived a fast life of luxury, of gold, and of stabbing anyone in the back that tried to cross him. Often literally.

When the Chaos Legion turned their eye on Dax, he looked right back and was intrigued. He saw new power that he hadn't yet known. He communicated with their intermediaries until the day the Chaos Legion invaded the Splinterlands. Dax was then graced with an audience before Silus of the Rift himself. During this conversation, Dax proved himself well-informed, cunning, and ambitious. He was given the opportunity to be an advisor for the most powerful person he'd ever come across. Dax now serves closely at Silus' side, advising him on strategies to control the Splinterlands.

The Stats of Dax Paragon

image.png

Dax Paragon is an epic magic attack card from the Life Splinter. He has an Amplify ability from level two and the Affliction ability from level five. His mana cost is only two, therefore we can can use him in any low mana battle.

Amplify : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.

Affliction : When a Monster with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed. 50% chance of applying Affliction on the target.

My Team

image.pngGeneral Sloan is a four mana cost summoner within the Life Splinter. He gives one ranged attack to all of his friendly ranged creatures, which is quite strong, but his monsters need some kind of protection in order to survive the battle.
image.pngThe Pelacor Conjurer is a very good common monster with the Flying ability on level one. He will receive the Magic Reflect ability on level four. He is very fast therefore the enemy monsters with low speed would miss him a lot. I used him in this ruleset as a main tank.
image.pngDax Paragon is an epic magic attack creature with Amplify ability from level two. He is recommended to use with Pelacor Conjurer against magic attack enemies, because he will increase the reflected magic back to their attacker from 2 to 3.
image.pngThe Time Mage is a rare magic attack creature with the Slow ability. She will reduce the Speed of all enemy Monsters by one. She will receive the Rust ability on level 5, which means that she will reduce the Armor of all enemy Monsters by 2.
image.pngThe Venari Crystalsmith is the perfect healer for every white team. He will heal the tank in every round throughout the battle and he will receive the plus one ranged attack damage from General Sloan to deal a nice damage as well.
image.pngThe Thunderbird is an epic ranged attack creature with Flying ability from leve one. This monster will be get the Stun abilitiy on level four. If this Bird hit the their target with Stun, the target will pass his round in the battle. This ability is quite useful, but the trigger chance is 50%, so you need some luck as well.
image.pngXenith Archer is a rare ranged attack neutral card without abilities. Her mana cost is just two, which is very low, therefore we can use it in the low mana rulesets. General Sloan gives her one more ranged attack, which is amazing for two mana.

The Battle Rulesets

image.png

When Doesn't Kill You: All Monsters have the Enrage ability..
Ferocity: All Monsters have the Fury ability.
Keep your Distance: Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.

This is low mana ruleset and only three color can play plus Dragons.

My strategy

I have choosen the General Sloan for this ruleset from the Life Spinter. This ruleset was low mana and not allowed to play with melee attack monsters.

I used a mixed team with three ranged attack monster, two magic attack cards and Pelacor Conjurer in front who might reflect back some magic attack back to his attacker.

The Pelacor Conjurer is very fast and he was my main tank with his Flying and Magic Reflect abilities even though he cost only two mana. He is an amazing reward card from the Pelacor family.

The Venari Crystalsmith will support the Conjurer with his Tank Heal ability.

Dax Paragon will amplify the Pelacor Conjurer Magic Reflect ability to reflect 3 damage back.

The Time Mage will reduce one speed and armor from the all enemy monsters.

The Battle

My opponent brought Immortalis from Earth Splinter with magic attack team against me. Immortalis is a six mana cost new summoner with three abilities. He will reduce one health from his all enemy monsters, gives Void and Shatter abilities to all of his friendly creatures.

My opponent choosed Kron the Undying as his main tank and Goblin Psychic as a support to Kron.

The Goblin Psychic heals Kron in every round and his Affliction ability will able to cancel the Healing or Tank Heal abilities from his enemy target monsters. Basically my opponent has double heal on a superior creature at the front, but he didn't expected that I will bring a magic reflect creature as a tank. 😅

My Battle: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_e813610a11423abdb978a61ae50ba4f8

My strategy worked, because the ruleset banned all the Melee attack monsters and my opponent choosed to go with a full magic attack team. I successfully used Dax Paragon Amplify ability with my Pelacor Conjurer Magic Reflect ability against my opponent team.

The Venari Crystalsmith played a huge role healing my tank with his Heal ability and my ranged attack creatures benefited a lot from the +1 ranged attack from my General Sloan in order to deal a lot of damage against Kron the Undying. 😸

Do you like Dax Paragon? Why or why not?

Yes, I like this card, but I am not using him too often, because it is recommended to play with him in special situations. If the ruleset is Magic Reflect it is a good idea to combine his Amplify ability with his allies, because he will strenghten his allies Magic Reflect ability.

His Amplifiy ability would also increase the reflected damage of the Return Fire and Thorns ability as well. 👍
