Djinn Apprentices prefer to study under more powerful djinn to hone their magic. While not as strong or cunning as others of their kin, they are just as dangerous to untrained warriors.

When the Chaos Legion arrived, it had a diverse effect on the djinn. Not a unified race by any means, some chose to align with the Chaos Legion, some chose to defend against it, and others chose to go their own path and leave it all behind. Djinn Apprentices chose to align themselves with Djinn Inferni, believing in his mission and his vision.
The Djinn Apprentices kneeled before the powerful form of Djinn Inferni. The heat of the volcano was immense, but it did not affect these beings of fire and magic.

Djinn Inferni looked across the row. “Djinn Muriat has betrayed our kind. He has aligned himself with the foul Chaos Legion. He has corrupted the name 'djinn' and all it stands for. We will no longer sit in silence as his darkness spreads. It will take all of us to face him. Will you join me?”

“We will!” the Djinn Apprentices exclaimed as one.

The Stats Djinn Apprentice

The Djinn Apprentice is a simple monster with only stats, because this monster doesn't have any abilities apart from the Deathblow on level 6. He has a very good magic attack damage and it is a very good idea to mix him with melee attack creatures to surprise my enemy.

This card is a rare card and it is quite inexpensive. I didn't see many players using this monster, because there is not too much strategic option to play with him.

My Lineup

image.png

Tarsa is my favourite Fire Summoner, because she give two buff to all of his friendly monsters. The first is to give +1 attack damage and the second is that she provides +1 health as well. This is an amazing combination to any melee team.

image.png

Grum Flamblade is a pretty strong monster and this is my number one choice as a tank. His high health and armor provides him a lot of sustain and if he is lucky to kill an enemy monster he will increase his own stats using the Bloodlust ability.

image.png

I have used the Forgotten One in the second position, because of his Immunity ability. In the poison ruleset this ability comes in very handy, because it allows the Forgotten One* to ignore the poison damage completely.

image.png

The Caladuum has a high base health and big magic damage, which helps him to survive the poison damage long enough until the enemy monsters would die in that.

image.png

The Djinn Apprentice is the monster of this battle challenge, so I had to use it in this battle. Luckily he has good magic damage of 3, but the poison would eat him quick.

image.png

I also used another high health creature in this battle, which was the Molten Ash Golem. He has 2 ranged attack and the Close Range ability, which would help him to shoot from the first position as well if all my tank would perish.

image.png

The Scorch Fiend is a zero mana cost monster and the main reason of using him to give a fake target to the enemy sneak monsters.

The Battle Rulesets

image.png

Noxious Fummes: All Monsters start the battle poisoned.
Reverse Speed: Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
High Mana ruleset: 48 Mana

The Battle

I choose Tarsa from the Fire Splinter, because the ruleset was Reverse Speed and the Fire Splinter has a lot of slow tanks and creatures. The best tank in this situation is Grum Flameblade. He is a very massive tank with one speed plus he has the Bloodlust ability, which means if he kill an enemy monster his stats will be increased. I brought Forgotten One as well for this battle, because he has the Immunity ability against poison.

The Caladuum and Djinn Apprentice deals a lot of magic damage against the enemy monsters. The Molten Ash Golem has two ranged attack and has 11 health. This team is very resistant in this ruleset.

My opponent prefered a mixed Death Splinter with Owster Rotwell, who has a magic reflect ability.
The enemy monsters had a bigger speed and lower health than my team, therefore their creatures went to death quicker than my "slow" team. 😜

The high health strategy worked as I expected. I love the reverse speed ruleset, because many players doesn't know what it means or what to bring in this ruleset, so most of the times it is an easy win for me.

Do you like the Djinn Apprentice? Why or why not?

Djinn Apprentice is not the useful creature under level 3, because he has only 2 magic attack. He doesn't have any ability under level six, where he will receive the Deathblow ability. This ability is not so good, just in special situations, but it is very rare. The Deathblow means that this Monster does 2x damage if their target is the only Monster left on the enemy team. We just need to use him smartly. 😉
