SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge with DRAGON JUMPER
Dragonjumpers are not Dragons themselves. That would be foolish for the Gloridax, with the high rate of failure and death in this particular profession. These soldiers are trained to literally jump off of Dragons’ backs and into battle zones. Thin, leather webbing worn between their limbs slows the fall of the Dragonjumper just enough for them to survive the landing (usually).
The Stats of the Dragon Jumper
Dragon Jumper is a legendary Dragon from the Untamed set and he has a very good stats. He cost seven mana therefore not recommended to use in a low mana ruleset. He can Fly and he has the Opportunity ability from level one.
Flying : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. +25% chance of evading.
Opportunity : Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
Snare : When attacking enemies with Flying, removes the Flying ability and cannot miss.
Stun : When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.
My Team
Quix the Devious is a four mana cost summoner within the Dragon Splinter. He will reduce one ranged attack and one speed from all of the enemy creatures. | |
---|---|
Djinn Chwala is an epic melee attack creature with the Thorns ability from level one. He will receive the Enrage ability on level four. He is a very good tank in a low mana battles, because he is quite strong against the smaller mana cost melee monsters. | |
The Chaos Dragon is a legendary magic attack monster with four ability on level three (Flying, Scattershot, Blast and Blind). He is an excellent damage dealer in a lot of rulesets, because he will damage three monsters at the same time with his abilities. | |
The Dragon Jumper is a seven mana cost melee attack monster with Flying and Opportunity ability on level one. He is very fast and he could kill the creature with the lowest health in the enemy backline, who are usually healer or another support monsters. | |
The Uraeus is an epic melee attack monster with Sneak ability. He will get the Poison ability on level four, which makes him very dangerous to the enemy backline. | |
The Scorch Fiend is a legendary creature with zero mana cost. I used him in the last place in my backline. He can take few attacks from the opponent sneaker monsters. |
The Battle Rulesets
Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in the battles.
This is middle mana ruleset and only Fire and Dragon can play.
The Battle
I had a Dragon Focus and only Dragon and Fire Splinters allowed to play in this ruleset therefore I choosed Quix the Devious with three Dragon creature plus Uraeus and the Schorch Fiend.
Quix will reduce one ranged attack and one speed from all enemy monsters, which is good, because the ruleset of Close Range is very good to all ranged monsters, so it is better to counter them.
I used Djinn Chwala as a tank, because he is very strong against any melee attack creature, thanks to his Thorns and Enrage abilities.
I picked two main damage dealer into my team, which is the Chaos Dragon and Dragon Jumper. The Ureaus is an amazing choice thanks to his Poison ability.
My opponent choosed the Dragon Summoner as well and he picked Brighton Bloom as a Summoner, who gives Flying to all her friendly creatures.
The enemy team also had a Djinn Chwala as a tank supported by three sneaker and two ranged attack monsters.
My Battle: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_c0e57dce82365b849d7ed4cdbfce9a4f
My strategy was to use as much Dragons as I can, because my focus was to play with Dragon creatures. The enemy sneaker monsters killed my Scorch Fiend and Uraeus quickly, but the Dragon Jumper survived without injury.
The Chaos Dragon and Dragon Jumper dealt a lot of damage to the opponent backline thanks to their excellent abilities and The Chaos Dragon ignored all the enemy armors, because the armor doesn't work against his magic damage. 👍
Do you like the Dragon Jumper? Why or why not?
Yes, I like it a lot, because he is an excellent Dragon card. He is very fast and he has four ability (Flying, Opportunity, Snare and Stun) which are very useful in any battles.
Unfortunately he is expensive to hire from level 2 therefore I am not using him a lot. ☹️
