#MetalWeekend & #RockClassics - Happy birthday, Kirk!
Hi,
for today's #MetalWeekend by @detlev and #RockClassics by @uwelang, we have a birthday celebration.
Kirk Hammett, the lead guitar from Metallica, is turning 60.
He joined the band in 1983, as Dave Mustaine left for Megadeth.
Cliff Burton picked his place in the car accident, that led to his death, so Kirk might be only alive, as they've changed places.
I think, Kirk is one of the most underrated guitarist out there, and with this I want to say happy birthday! Thank you for the music

Kirk is great but i had the impression he was pretty considered as a great guitar player - at least in my environment :-)
