Midnight rambling

Hi,

today I'm just going to write without any picture or thumbnail. I know, I know, it is better to have one, to make the post appealing. Almost, like the bread section when you enter the supermarket, but on the other hand, I don't want to, I just want to write a few lines and go to sleep. It was a long day and I had a long drive between 4 countries, mostly on snow and wind. I'm not a truck driver, and probably would not want to be one, as it is a very hard job. We need truck drivers, as we see that without them, the supply chain doesn't work. Maybe some politicians don't see the need and probably will replace trucks with cargo bikes, like they do in some part of Germany. I'm not in Germany now, and even if I like Germany and Germans, still can't comprehend the way some people forbid the life for the majority. I've read a draft document where Christmas shall be not referred as Christmas as it is offensive to other people. Well, even if it is forbidden to say Christmas, I will still do it.

Why? Because I think that the freedom of speech is way too important, even if my speech offended someone. I did not slap or punch someone in the face, I just expressed some form of thought, that may or may not represent my views on an idea or a term.

I'm fat, at least for my standards, and maybe for @trumpman also. I know that I'm fat and will not accept this shape of my body. If someone tells me that I'm fat, I'm not going to be offended, as one cancelled comedian used to say, I've eaten my way to this, I can run my way out. Like, people are happy that we don't have the Victoria's Secret Angels any more, because they are looking too good compared to the average Jane. Well, I'm not content, as I liked watching them, my wife liked them as we both admit, those girls are beautiful. Well, that they earn more money than a doctor that invents some medical breakthrough, is another story as it is not their fault, it is ours.

Ideas are for debating, and like I tell my friends, love to be shown that I'm wrong with a good argument at a glass of wine. Or a dinner where I may eat my pork chops, without anyone being offended. Now that I think, pork chops might be offensive to 80% of the population. There are the religious ones that think pork will forbid them heaven, there are the vegetarians that think that I'm eating a dead body, which is true, but all that we eat was once alive, as a small fact. And yes, we will probably become food for others, if we are not selfish enough to turn ourselves into ashes. Coming back to my pork dish, it might infuriate some green politicians, as it pollutes. I have my belief system, but the menu is not in it and as an omnivore, I don't see why I shall not eat meat. Regarding pollution, I try not to buy plastic stuff as much as possible.

Why this ramble? Well, this was the news about Christmas that I've heard before parking the car. It made me angry on how stupid we are as humans. This is offensive, the stupidity as it plain obviously that we are not equal, and the woke direction is trying to push the notion that we are equal. We are not, we have different abilities. For example, I know I won't be a marathon champion, as I'm way too big to have the physical attributes of a marathon champion. On the other hand, I might beat most marathon champions in long swimming competition. Each one of us is unique, and we need to accept this.

Do I have to like all religious celebrations in the world, or even respect them? No, but as long as people don't get hurt physical, as offended is not hurt, they can do what they want, as long as it is not imposed. And yes, I love Christmas, and the Christmastime, where the family is together.

Enough rambling for today. Have a beautiful evening!

Subject matter aside, as I don't want to get into that right now, the basic premise exists that the rights to Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Practice of Religion are being curtailed, to a greater or lesser degree, depending on which country one lives in. Yes, we should live with consideration for the rights of others, but we shouldn't trample one person's rights in favour of another... maybe in cases of life or death we should take a more pragmatic view, but otherwise, we should all live and let live provided our lives are not endangered in the process.

It is called hydrodynamic, and fat is lighter than water, so I don't need to fight sinking. And definitely I will beat most in long swim competition.

Have some !PIZZA and !BEER for your encouraging comment.
