#RockClassics & #MetalWeekend - Cliff Burton
Hi,
for today's #RockClassics & #MetalWeekend, the tags by @uwelang and @detlev, we have the birthday of one of the greatest Metal Legends, who sadly passed away to early.
We speak about Cliff Burton, the bass player from Metallica.
He managed to pull 4 albums with the band, till his passings:
- Kill 'Em All (1983)
- Ride the Lightning (1984)
- Master of Puppets (1986)
- ...And Justice for All (1988) (only on one song)
That song is To Live Is to Die.
He is also credited with my two favourite songs by Metallica, Master of Puppets and Fade to Black.

Master of Puppets is their best album. I’ll be dating myself, but I saw Metallica right before Kill ‘Em All came out and Dave Mustaine was still in the band. It was at L’ Amour’s East in New York City.
Nice, I was born that year, when Kill ‘Em All was released.
Dave is a legend!
Told you I was dating myself. My older brother snuck me in, I was a teenager.
You got lived some pretty good years of music, that is for sure.
I was the perfect age for the late 80’s early 90’s metal scene. We won a battle of the bands hosted by WDHA which let us open up for Slayer.👊🏻
False metal!
And what is non false metal?
Manowar
The two members metal band. I like them also! You little warrior.
