Spending quality time with the kid

Hi,

again a very busy today, where I came to writing only at a very late hour, as it is around midnight in Central Europe. As my wife had a training for work, I was the designated driver and the man in charge with the fun of the kid.

When I'm not travelling for work, I try to give him most of my time and to bound and grow together. Yes, growing together, as I still need to grow in so many aspects of my life.

On Christmas, after saving for 2 years, we bought an e-piano. I know, I know, real pianist will hate me. It is due to a lot of reasons. We live in Germany, where humidity alternates a lot, also winters are cold, and when we are not home, we heat the house to a minimum. The maintenance for a piano would be very costly in the long run. The e-piano we bought, has weighted keys and if you are not seeing it, you would not see the difference when using it. The only difference is the resonance made by a real piano. Also, a new piano costs a fortune, and an old one, mostly, is not worth the hustle. Maybe a Steinway or a Bösendorfer, that is not older than 5 years.

On a daily basis, we sit together and learn to play it. He knows already, after one month, to play a part of Baby Shark. Well, not Für Elise, but this will do also. Besides going weekly for a swim, we do a daily piano session, and we try to have 30 minutes of doing something in the house. These small things are creating a great bond. He is only 5, so don't expect to behave like an adult. Perhaps on the contrary, I try to behave like him.

One thing is certain, no money in the world can buy this. Yes, money can facilitate the freedom and freeing up time, but trading more of the time for many is not so worth.

How do you see it?

"No money in the world can buy this"

Absolutely right. That weight a lot when I choose not to have a second job. Since I'm single and I don't have a child (I wish I had), free time is something that I love to have and to control, somehow.

Spending time with you family increasingly gives all of you a better notion of unity and family true bound :)
